It is so hard to find good TexMex these days - at least in North Austin. This place is local to the core. It reminds me of the old East Austin Texmex kitchens from the 90's. The menu is vast, fresh and exciting....I loved the pictures of the food inside the restaurant! Great idea! Normal chips and salsa is amped up a bit with three different options - killer green sauce, warmed red sasla and a savory charro bean bowl. Every Texan needs a big glass of iced tea. Not those frilly little drinks. My tea never ran out! Service was a amazing. Ok lastly I'll mention they have an ice-cream bar inside the restaurant! Genius!!!! The kids love it! Can't wait to come back....

I am back. I came back and spoke with the manager and she apologized for my bad customer service experience and gave me a coupon for 5 free tacos. I have to say that my experience today was definitely different. The staff was polite and professional. I didn't feel ignored. The manager was very polite, professional and understood why I felt the way I felt on my 1st visit. I am so happy that I did what I did because the tacos were excellent but I put a high value on customer service and I would not have returned if the situation was handled by management differently. Meat not cooked properly. For the tortas, they served it with long uncooked beef chunks. The sopes had beans, chicken, large onion chunks and large cheese chunks. A guacamole order for almost $5, had 3 tiny scoops of flavorless avocado that looked like it had gone through a blender and was not fresh, same for the avocado on the beef ranchero plate. I should have gotten a clue from the ripped furniture, beaten up tables. The beef ranchero plate had zero ranchero sauce. Just pass on this restaurant.

Horrible and embarrassing experience!!!!!!!!!!! If I could have rated them a '0' I would have. My husband and I went to Las Cazuelas in Pfludgerville Friday night 6/2/2023. When we walked in the door the waitress asked if we were the couple from the other night that raised a big fuse about their service and the food delay. We looked at each other and said no (if I was unhappy about the service and food why would I return). We proceeded to a table and sat down. We waited a few minutes and noticed they walked over us. About 10 minutes later a waitress came by and said we're refusing to serve because you were the couple from the other night (flashing her phone stating we are on camera). We asked to see the footage but she declined and threatened to call the cops. We were ASTONISHED to say the least. I was okay about not being served by this point, but if you're gonna to accuse me of something based on a camera footage, show me!!!! The waitress refused to show us the camera footage and turned her back on us. We were only there for drinks....its a 2-star restaurant, I WOULDN'T HAVE ORDERED THE FOOD!!!!!! I will tell anyone to spend their money with a reputable restaurant or keep it in their pocket instead of giving it to Las Cazuelas!!!!!!

The amount of food is a steal! I thought I was just getting lunch and dinner when in reality I have enough for tomorrow as well. My food arrived well packaged. Not one drop of salsa or guacamole was spilled. They even included the garnishments of limes, sour cream, and extra tortillas. I ordered the chicken fajita nachos and chicken fajitas for one. The chicken is so delicious and well seasoned. Juicy with a slight char. The chips were still crisp and the vegetables had that fresh crunch I crave. I'll definitely be back when in Austin.

Went in bc I had a few minutes for three breakfast tacos and it was close to where I was. Ordered and waited.. and waited... thirty minutes later I asked for an update.. The lady went behind the counter (not checking my order at all).. I asked her again the next time she passed by bc I had a party to get to in twenty minutes. She went in the back and came out and said they are making it.. After ten more minutes (40-45 in total) , I walked out without my food. It should not take 45 plus minutes to make three breakfast tacos! DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for service!!! There were no more than five tables with patrons in them. I can't talk about the food bc I NEVER GOT IT!!!

My experience today was terrible. I've been here before and to the Cesar Chávez location many times and have never had problems. I went by today to eat lunch with my boyfriend and his parents and the waitress was nice, however one of our meals had been messed up 3 times (kept adding chicken to a dish that we only wanted cheese and veggies in). The ladies working the register seemed to be very upset and were rude throughout the transaction. We were nickeled and dimed for everything and were told we HAD TO leave a 20% tip when signing the receipt after paying. We of course left the nice waitress a tip in cash but were appalled that they kept pushing it when they up charged everything including charging my boyfriends dad for a full price of an alcoholic drink when he ordered and drank a mineral water that was dressed with Tajín. The cashiers response was, "well your waitress should have told you it would be full price even without alcohol". Last but not least there was a sweet, but clearly underage young girl working and clearing our table while we were still eating. We are disappointed and used to really like this place but cannot come back. When we called to discuss the issues, the restaurant staff stated, "communication could have been better. I don't wanna say it's your fault or our fault but communication could have been better." And did nothing to resolve the issues...

Accidentally ordered from here again...the milanesa torta was a mayo sandwich, no avocado and they couldn't even hook me up with a little salsa to choke it down. Mojo de ajo shrimp has all of the pepper in there and I guess all I can say is that it's an interesting recipe but not what I expected on my order...so much more just wrong with this place... Just avoid it. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants around.
