I ordered a large veggie sandwich and the portions were horrible. Skip this location if you're hungry as it seems they're trying to keep their costs low. Having read prior reviews, it seems others have had similar experiences. This is the first location in which I've had this issue. I dont intend to come back at all. The portions were so minimal I tossed the sandwich and went elsewhere for my dinner

Tried to call during normal business hours several times to ask about soups of the day (which the website recommends) and was rolled into voicemail [which has not been set up yet] everytime. Having staff to answer the phone is a standard component of operating a customer service oriented business. I'll strike this place off my list.

Thundercloud has been our go-to quick, easy, grab & go meal for years and it never disappoints! (Literally went to a location down south after the alter in 2005). There are plenty of seats inside and outdoors. The staff are cool and friendly, their service is pretty quick (we mostly take advantage of their drive-thru). Their bread is not the best bread, let me tell you that, but overall their sandwiches just hit it for us. It gives me the old school sandwich vibe, and I like it. Our favorites are Office's favorite (egg sandwich), I'm not sure if it got its name because many Thundercloud employees love to order it or it's meant in a sarcastic way because no one in the office likes it when you bring boiled eggs for lunch (fish is even worse ). We also like their California club, and Turkish Delight. All in all, we love this place, any location is consistent and the flavors are on lock. Austin native or visitor add this to your restaurant repertoire. Enjoy!

This Thundercloud location is my absolute favorite. Subs are fresh and delicious. It is their consistently smiling and courteous staff that always delights me. Doesn't matter if you dine in or drive to the secret window in back, you will receive both great treatment and tasty food. A throwback to an earlier time when businesses appreciated your patronage.

Great great place with a crazy nice owner. We ordered catering online for a function and when we stopped by in the morning, everything was ready and delicious. Even though it was bitterly cold and raining that morning (it was during Austin's last cold freeze in January of 2024), the owner was incredibly cheerful and hooked it up with all the sides / sauces. Well recommended!

Ordered 2 large subs and a small bag of chips. Spent $20 including tip. The amount of meat put on the sandwich is dismal. The turkey appeared on only the middle 1/3 of my sandwich. I wanted spicy peppers but it was missed. Will not be coming back. Not worth the money.
