I'm from Minnesota and we do have several Mexican restaurants, but not like Carmelitas. The Carne Guisada was wonderful and the homemade tortillas put it over the top. I'm coming back in February, see you then.

They have a fantastic menu that covers both breakfast and lunch, so you can enjoy their delicious offerings no matter the time of day. And speaking of the space itself, the restrooms are always spotless—a great sign of a well-run establishment.

I ordered Santa Fe chicken and everything on that plate was so good! Good portions and I even had food left over. Service was great. The lady who took my order was very nice and attentive. I will definitely go back and try another dish hopefully soon. Only suggestion is please have some bottled Mexican coke. I was really craving one and I ended up drinking a coke can. All in all, I enjoyed my visit today.
