The food was great. With flavor and good size portion. The server was ok, did not smile and his knowledge of the menu was not great. The hostess was very friendly. This restaurant is NOT Cheap! Most of the plates are $30 to $40.

Disappointing Sunday Experience at Pappadeaux in McAllen, TX
My recent visit to Pappadeaux was a huge letdown. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, which was understandable for a busy Sunday, but things went downhill fast. When our food finally arrived, they brought a 5 lb lobster with no plates, so we had to wait another 10 minutes for them to bring any – by then, the lobster was already cold.
To make things worse, the melted butter was served without a candle underneath, so it quickly solidified. The dish for one of our party members didn’t arrive until after everyone else had finished eating, and the waitress seemed annoyed every time we asked about it. If you’re thinking about coming here on a Sunday, I’d reconsider – this is not the place to go if you want a smooth, enjoyable dining experience.
