My first Texas BBQ experience.... not disappointed.It was a road trip so I was very eager and hungry, did my research for something near McAllen and Rudy's came top of the list.Very nice place, very nice service. Brisket sandwich was goooood, hope to come back soon.

It's like a picnic indoors.Parking: I'm handicap and there were plenty of places right up front.Kid-friendliness: We've taken my 2 year old grandson and he was good but also likes to run around after he gets full, if course we contained him and started right with him but they don't get mad and smirk at youWheelchair accessibility: You can go straight in with no issues and all is single story so

A good typical Texas BBQ place with a good relaxed atmosphere and many options (if it's your first time I suggest researching how to order first since they don't hold your hand either). Personally, I don't really like the sweet and somewhat simple seasoning of this cuisine, but if you like it, it's definitely a good place. We tried lean brisket (it seems too dry to me) and moist (too watery because of the fat), pulled pork (quite X), 1.5 lbs. baby back ribs (I think it's the best), regular sausage and jalapeño with cheddar (both nothing out of this world), creamed corn (good but very sweet, no surprises then) and corn. To drink, there are several options, whether you grab soft drinks or beers from the coolers in the order line or three sizes of refill glass (Rudy's allows you to take it to any location - you never pay for a soft drink again). It's easy to adapt to the dynamic of eating what you ordered at your table, wrapping the waste, throwing it away and leaving the rack in its place.
brisket was tough and had absolutely no flavor and that's because i asked for moist brisket. i spent $70 to feed a family of three and was severely disappointed (2 moist brisket sandwiches, 2 loaded potatoes and 7 ribs) never again!!
