Worst customer service ever. No eye contact no greeting. They even looked like they were mad when we walked in the place.

They gave me the whole order wrong, I asked for tortillas without oil and they gave them with oil, flour quesadillas and they gave me corn, and the al pastor meat seemed like it was cooked with nothing but very bad cartilage. If you have the opportunity to really go.

The tacos were ok, def not street tacos. Street tacos consist of white crumble cheese and avocado. Ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and it took them 20 min to make it and deliver to the table. Not even a minute later our meals were being delivered to the table. Waiter had zero knowledge or understanding of how to wait tables. We ordered 6 meals and were delivered 5 and never made an attempt to question why their was a meal missing. Trashy service and ok tacos if that's what u like, this is the spot!

We ordered some tripe and steak tacos, but I honestly feel that the preparation of the food lacks love, the food is very incipient and the corn tortilla they use does nothing to improve the flavor.

The walnut atole is a delight 🤤
For the owner please fix your fountain drink machine and your aguas fresca machine
My family and I loved going to eat at Tepeque, but about a month ago our experience completely changed. We ordered the combo that we always order, which previously cost $8.99, but at the time of paying they charged us $14. When I asked the waitress, she told me that they had raised the prices and brought out another menu with a ridiculous $5 difference. We won't stop at that taco shop again.
$80 for 2 combos!?!!? I came to eat with a large group of friends. To which they tried charging nearly $80 to each of us! One of my friends had to go back and got his money back but what would have happened if he wouldn't have checked!? 1st time okay but a 3rd time!? I also had to wait for the manager to get to the store to be able to pay after all my friends had already left! The waiter gave very poor customer service. Complaining the whole time she charged me. Definitely would not recommend

Restaurantji Recommends
I went to try the restaurant at about after 10:00 am and the cashier with a nonchalant tone told us they just got there and no food was ready. I googled the hours before going and it says they open at 9:00am. Don’t recommend and so sad we are trying to support local only to be turned away.

So I’m not even going to sugar coat it, the place is welcoming but the service and food was wack. We tried it because of a foody influencer FORK IT in which he was too nice in his review because ain’t no way he’s talking about the same place. Count your days Fork it 😂 I’m very disappointed. Don’t listen to everything you see people! Well our experience yesterday being taco Tuesday we thought we had gotten lucky bc of the taco deals. A single waitress handled us and it was a while we sat there before we got acknowledged. A initial cheese chips that are complementary with frijoles were cold! We asked for charros not knowing they were a separate fee and the caldo was watered down tasting like it had fish consomé instead of chicken lol the tacos weren’t that great and the potato isn’t a potato. They basically boil to soften the potato and make it mashed to scoop it onto a foiled bowl and melt the cheese. We would gladly continue to take a drive over and again a thousand times all the way to Mercedes TACOLANDIA than this and we are pharr locals! The price for two adults and a child was ridiculous. My ten year old rated it two stars bluntly then and there, even she couldn’t believe it was that much for just us. And lastly our favorite, the grand total for three drinks, 8 tacos, one papa, and two small charro bean cups (again unknowingly they are a separate fee NOT complimentary) all for $34.54.
No wonder it is called Tepe-Quuuueeeeeee?!!!!!

We ordered tacos de tripitas with a large agua de Jamaica y limón and I’ll have to say the water was the only thing we enjoyed for the most part, tacos weren’t the best but can’t say the worst, I’m sure many people enjoy them so this is just our opinion on them. Selection of hot sauce definitely needs improvements we had three different ones and one salsa macha definitely ask for that one it will give some flavor to the food specially to the frijoles charros! Lady in the front was nice but the lady who took our order looked like she wasn’t having a good evening which i understand but don’t pass it on to the customers. The home made tortillas were good.

We went as a family, delicious food, we tried quesabirrias, steak tacos, chorizo and consommé, all very delicious, I don't give it a 5, because those who ate the top say they were good but not delighted, we will definitely return, good prices.
