First time there, called in n inquired about the menu. The person that answered explained that the plate for two included 3 or 4 beef ribs, chicken n brisket and sides. We paid $44.00 n got 2 beef ribs, two drumsticks, 1 thigh , brisket n sides. Barely enough for 1 n the plate was for two. Food was good. The clerk or waiter that answered the phone, promised a lot n delivered a little. Too expensive… probably never go back.

Brisket sandwich was amazing and those beans were amazing. Loved every bite. My kids were a fan of the chicken tacos. Will definitely go back.
Never have gone to a place like this . It’s terrible I don’t understand why they r still in business. Ribs were from another day. Service was terrible. Sorry but I went to so many barbecue places. This one is the worst one I didn’t even eat only my wife.

The service was good. The food was awesome. The beef ribs were tender & moist. Best I've had in awhile... The chicken had a nice golden color & taste was good . Definitely going back to try the brisket & sausage.

Place is very expensive for the small amount of food they serve. I wondered why it was lunch hr and the place was completely empty.I usually wouldn't mind paying when food is tasty, food was cold and served in small portions. Sweet tea and lemonade is powdered and tasted awful. We asked for chips and salsa and it was ridiculously and funny at the same time that the server brought us two chips and salsa bowl with no salsa in it. The ugly part was at the end, charged us 70$ for two plates and those awful drinks. Never again! Now i understand why they don't have people at the rush hour.

I'll give it a 6 out 10. Food wasn't bad, neither was service. Felt the food was overpriced and pricing in the menus a bit confusing. Some of their menu items weren't available and we were there as early as 11:30am.

This place....is very expensive, I understand everything went up, but this restaurant has always served there plates w/very little food!! There chicken look like, they are ANOREXIA, it's a money steal!! They serve your plate like if they where feeding a 5 Year old child! It seems to me...Everything is served with a mini scoop of ice cream! My first order was a $10.00 plate. The portions where Small. Then my 2nd time, I ordered $15.00 plate. OMG it was worse then the 1st time. The only thing, I saw more was French fries. I've been to others restaurants & they serve there plates reasonable amount of food. Not like if they are feeding a child. Well this restaurant doesn't know how to serve there customer's. Plus there's time's they have a long face, ? wow everything is wrong in this place. Today was my last time going there, Never again!! my extended family and friends. They also have complained about it!! And have stop ordering from Roy's. now me too. We rather go all the way to Alamo tx, or Weslaco tx."sorry, Roy your food is good, but very small amount for the price!!
