Went in to get a kids plate and they charge you extra for sliced brisket the menu doesn’t say that, seems they are always charging extra and telling you then she wanted to charge me for a drink does the kids meal not come with a drink!?

We had food catered by the Meating place and it was awesome. Great price! The brisket was delicious and the BBQ sauce was amazing. The Mac & Cheese was a big hit. The baked beans were the best we have tasted anywhere !!!!! Food arrived on time, will definitely do business here again!!!

We LOVE The Meating Place! We visit as often as we can and always love the food. I had noticed my Frito pie was missing the beans a couple times I ordered to-go. I messaged them on FB just bringing it to their attention, not asking for anything but to make sure the cooks know to add the beans to Frito pies in the future.
Not only did they acknowledge the issue and apologize, they also reassured me they would make all staff aware, but they also offered a gift card for the “trouble”. It was just a bean issue….I was thinking a $10 gift card….NO! They gave me a $30 gift card! They went above and beyond! I’ll forever be a fan and customer!

Waited 45 min to an hour on Father's day. (We were warned but we have kids, so if we went somewhere else it'd be about the same timing) Food was really good, but my wife's and Dad's meals were either wrong or missing items. My Dad's brisket was about half fat.

I was in the area... decided to give this place a try and it definitely DID NOT disappoint.... We ordered two chicken baked potatoes.... delicious my mom and son loved it....I ordered two brisket tacos...wow amazing...will definitely eat here again.
Our food was horrible ,burnt , cold in the middle and way to high priced , for food we could not eat,tossed it in the garbage

This place is great! The food is good, and desserts are really good! We've had breakfast and dinner here, and both were great. I will say that though some of the breakfast is just okay and the burgers are good but I feel like there's something missing. All in all though, it's a great restaurant and the staff is so kind and sweet.
I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular. Seriously the best potato salad I've ever had. The brisket was very tasty and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The only downside is I will have to dream about their potato salad until I return to Texas Highly recommended!
We really like the food here and continue to come here solely for that reason but unfortunately the service is beyond lacking. We placed an order online and no one responded to it so we came through the drive through and were completely ignored. Then we came inside and placed our order and waited 25 minutes for two burritos. The poor girl at the front is the ONLY person actually working, she was taking orders and running orders to the tables. The other girl that was “working” was just walking around like she didn’t see a line that was almost out the door. We try to support local businesses but it makes it really hard to do so when the service is that bad.
