I order family pack of goat dum biryani along with gulab jaamoon and chicken pakora for Togo . Except chicken pakora remaining food was very bad .. they gave dried pieces of mutton and biryani rice also very dry ..
gula jaamoon didn’t add any liquid.
I don’t recommend this place

Chicken biryani is common, but good chicken biryani is not. Nizam’s does it right.

The chicken dum biryani is flavorful and well cooked. The chicken is soft, juicy, and absorbs the masala properly. It’s not dry, not rubbery, and not drowned in oil or spice. The taste stays balanced from start to finish.

The rice is light, aromatic, and cooked perfectly. Masala is mixed evenly, so every bite tastes the same. Spice level is just right — flavorful without being too strong.

Other food items are also done well. Nothing feels rushed or greasy. Flavors are clean and portions are fair. The kitchen focuses on doing simple things correctly.

Overall, Nizam’s is a reliable place for good chicken biryani and well-made food. No hype — just honest taste and consistency.

Tried the mutton dum biryani at Nizam’s, and it clearly shows what happens when biryani is cooked the right way.

The mutton is the hero here. Each piece is cooked evenly — soft, juicy, and full of flavor without falling apart. It tastes like the masala has gone inside the meat, not just coated on the outside, which usually happens only with proper dum cooking and patience.

The rice is clean and fragrant, with every grain separate. What stood out most was how evenly the masala was mixed — no bland bites, no overpowering spice pockets. The flavor stays consistent from the first spoon to the last. Spice level is balanced and mature, not aggressive, letting the mutton flavor lead.

This is not oily or heavy biryani. It feels well-measured and thoughtfully prepared, the kind you can enjoy fully without feeling tired halfway through.

Overall, the mutton dum biryani feels honest and traditional — no shortcuts, no unnecessary twists. Just solid execution and deep flavor.

A place worth revisiting if you care about real dum-style mutton biryani.

Some food does more than satisfy hunger — it resets your expectations.
Nizam’s Biryani did exactly that.

I visited by chance, with no big expectations. What I found was a place that treats dum biryani with real respect — not as fast food, but as a craft.

The Asli goat dum biryani is excellent. The goat is cooked just right — soft, juicy, and full of flavor, but not overcooked. Each piece has absorbed the masala properly, which shows slow and careful dum cooking, not shortcuts.

The rice is a standout. Every grain is separate, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The masala is evenly mixed throughout the biryani, so every bite tastes complete. Spice and salt are balanced very well — flavorful, but never too strong or oily. This is the kind of biryani that feels complete and satisfying, not heavy or messy.

After Irving Deccan Grill, this is the next place where I felt that true Hyderabadi dum biryani satisfaction.

The goat haleem is equally impressive. Smooth, rich, and well-cooked, with deep flavor that only comes from slow cooking. Easily one of the best haleems I’ve had — not just good, but genuinely memorable.

Service also deserves mention. Bhagya, who seemed to be the manager, was warm, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused. The hospitality added to the overall experience without feeling forced.

Nizam’s Biryani doesn’t try to be trendy. It focuses on doing the basics perfectly — good ingredients, proper cooking, and honest flavors.

Highly recommended — not just as a restaurant, but as a place that sets the standard for how real dum biryani should taste.

Roach found in haleem. Excessively oily, not authentic, and almost no meat. Serious health and hygiene concerns.

Food was ok. Pretty standard. Requested as mild as possible, was still fairly spicy. The main issue is that I placed the order from their website, using door dash, selected pickup, got to the restaurant at the stated time (25 minutes), rang the bell, stood at the counter for five minutes, guessing they couldn't hear the bell over the sound of the loud Mexican music coming from the kitchen. Somebody finally came out, I told them I had an online order, they looked it up, said it would be about 20 minutes. Pretty sure they hadn't even started making it yet. So, 45 minutes after I ordered, I had my food. I was the only person in the restaurant. It was an hour and a half before close.

Their Chicken biryani with chicken 65 is straight from the streets of Old city, Hyderabad. Perfectly cooked chicken, subtle masalas and Hyderabadi street style chicken 65….. mashallah!! Visiting Plano for a short time and ordered their biryani from Uber eats, and the taste surprised me. Must try!!!

Edit: I tried their food for the second time and let me re-emphasize that their biryani is closest to the biryani you would find in the streets of old city, Hyderabad but very difficult in the US
