Their Peking duck is a standout. The crispy, golden skin and tender meat are a testament to their skilled chefs. While it may not be a perfect match for Peking duck from China, it certainly comes remarkably close. The accompanying dipping sauces and pancakes complement the duck beautifully, providing a delightful dining experience.
This restaurant is my favorite place to get Chinese food, especially Peking duck, in the DFW metroplex! We always come here with my family, and honestly we've enjoyed every dish we've tried (which is a lot). Favorites are the Peking duck (of course), la zi ji (spicy chicken), bamboo shoot with streaky pork, and the crab fried rice (but all the fried rices are good).
Today I went to Zhuyuan with some classmates, which also has a branch in Austin. The taste was really different, the twice-cooked pork was not delicious, and the duck felt like it was not freshly made. The gap is too big! Has the boss changed?
