Great selection of German food!!! Atmosphere is fun. Service was a little slow but they were very busy. I am from out of town but plan to make a trip back just to enjoy the cuisine again!
Debatably one of the most criminally underrated spots in all of DFW.
Bavarian Grill is my favorite place to partake in the best beer and food. The service is unparalleled and the atmosphere brings you back again, and again, and again!
Incredible menu with not a bad dish on it. The beer menu is the broadest Bavarian selection I’ve seen anywhere ever. Every item we ordered was fantastic. The air conditioning system needs some serious work, the first two times it kicked on I thought the ceiling was coming down. Everyone else in the restaurant jumped every time it ran. Our server could have been more attentive, but was good enough.
We went on a Saturday, this place definitely got more expensive as of everything else's. The food was alright but they offer a great selection of beers 🍻
This was our first time to the Bavarian Grill. Our waiter was Peter who helped us pick through the best of us on the menu. He did a great job taking care of us. The food was served absolutely hot, which is rare in many restaurants nowadays.Delicious above expectations. My only screw up with the evening was leaving my newly started beer club card at the table when we left. We hope to go again soon.
I'm in town for business and decided to try the place out since I don't get to eat Bavarian food that often. It was an excellent decision. The staff were all great. The Konig Ludwig Schnitzel was a delicious choice. The Chiemgauer Kirschenmichel was also a great choice for desert. Alan, the accordion player did an excellent job playing and getting the customers involved with the music. I will definitely come back again if I'm in the area.
Worth the drive from Dallas. Authentic Bavarian Fare and drink and the desserts
Last night, my husband and I tried this place for dinner. I was so excited because I love German food and couldn't wait to get Schnitzel. Our server, Franklin, was really sweet and suggested that we try the potato pancakes and the fried brie. It took a whiled to get the food which was fine the menu told you that that could happen, but while we were waiting I started to look around the carpet was dirty and there was this guy behind the bar hugging this chick in costume and it looked kind of inappropriate so that was kind of off putting. Then the food came out, and we ordered our main dishes. We tried the potato pancake, and I almost threw up. It tasted old and like it had been heated up in the microwave. My husband tried the Brie, and I knew there could be a chance he didn't like that because he had never had Brie before that why I got the potato pancakes. But when he tried the Bri, he spit it out. So I tried it and it just had this strange taste to it, and it also tasted like the grease they cooked it in was old and dirty. Our server came back and I asked him if we could cancel our order, worried the rest of the meal would not be very good. He was very nice about it and cancelled our order. I was a little surprised that a manager or someone like never came to speak to us to find out why we cancelled our order. We paid for our uneaten apps and left disappointed.
Love this place! Ask for Carl! He’s an amazing server and incredibly knowledgeable on the beers they have.
Restaurantji Recommends
We went to this restaurant as a family on Tuesday night. Our order took more than 20 minutes and when it arrived the sausages were overcooked and dry. The manager never came to our table. A horrible and expensive experience. I do not recommend it.
It was a great meal
We had a nice experience tonight. Anthony is very engaging and gave a lot of information and recommendations that we consider when we get back. Definitely coming back for more.
It's good
I’ve been to German restaurants in about 20 different states…this is the probably the best I’ve experienced in the U.S.
Nearly 40 imported beers on tap and a wide-ranging menu that delivers all the time. They also have off-menu specialties that regulars enjoy. Super friendly and accommodating staff…Gianni and Abby are the best!!!
I went there twice on my three-day business trip. Had a variety of beers both nights. Got the Nurnberger sausages for an appetizer both nights before getting the off menu Ziguener Schnitzel on night one and the Wiesbaden Hendl (Oktoberfest chicken) on night two. Everything delicious.
Now I just have to find more reasons for business trips to Plano.
