First negative review ever.Brought my wife and brother-in-law. Food was decent, cook was enjoyable to watch, Atmosphere wasn't clearly impressive or bad, just average. Service? It was next level horrible. The server consistently demonstrated a deep/sole interest in only one side of the table when taking orders, seemed annoyed when asked to help us as first time diners, making sure other end of the table always had everything they needed. Throughout the dinner, our side only received attention when specifically requested by us, never offered desert, server argued when my BIL indicated they had his order incorrect, given boxes for us to leave while my wife was *still eating* and approached me to pay the bill and tip while I was in the process of speaking to the GM about our poor experience! Zero class, of course zero tip, will never come again. My wife and my BIL are of Indian descent, other side was white. Not sure if this played a factor but as someone not exposed to such bad treatment like this, I was taken aback and how hostile the server acted and naturally wondering if their race was a factor or not.Missed opportunity because I saw the commercials growing up in the 80s about a fun experience and this was my first time. I don't know if every Benihana location acts like this but this server guaranteed we will never step foot at this location again. Ever.GM offered to comp our meal and asked for a chance to make it right. I only ask that he train his staff and understand that this kind of hostility, and in Frisco no less, is unacceptable. Even when offered for free.

If Benihana were a movie, it’d be the blockbuster you wait in line for, only to find it’s more of a "meh" matinee. Picture this: you enter, expecting fireworks of flavor, but alas, it’s just a sparkler in the culinary sky. The food? About as average as a Monday morning commute, and the bill? Well, let’s just say you might feel like you took a detour through the financial district instead of a foodie paradise. But fear not, for amidst this gastronomic mediocrity, there shines a beacon of hope: the service. Like a knight in shining apron, the staff swoops in to save the day with smiles and efficiency. As for the atmosphere, it’s like the background music at a dentist’s office—not exactly memorable, but it gets the job done. Overall, Benihana is a bit like that awkward blind date—you’ll survive, but you’ll also spend the night wishing you swiped left.

Benihana is what it’s always been. Same tricks and jokes, but at least the chef tries to entertain. Our waitress was very attentive!

Benihana used to be one of my favorite places to visit, but they've raised their prices to a ridiculous amount, their "show" remains the same, and my chef seemed like he needed more training. He waited until every bit of food had been cooked to start the steaks, and then he left mine so fatty that large portions of it were inedible. There are much better hibachi places that are a lot less expensive.
