When we got to the restaurant, we found they are still remodeling with no inside dining service--all is take out or delivery. We made the reservation through Open Table for a table for 4 which to us means inside dining. It's not the restaurant's fault that we could not eat there today. We ate at Cafe Amore many times before Covid and they were always great. I hope they get done remodeling so we can return there to eat in the dining room.

The food and service was great. We thought about bringing our own wine but they had a great wine selection from what we read online. The mussels were fantastic along with the main entree that included chicken and shrimp, with like a creamy butter sauce. We actually met Denis and Eva, the owners, who told us all about the place. We will be back thank you!

The menu looked good but execution was not. The worst offender was the chicken piccata, The chicken was dry and the sauce so salty it was inedible. The tiramisu was delicious but it was obviously not made in house. There was 1 professional server and although the restaurant was mostly empty, there was a large party at the back so she made several mistakes at my table. The other server was perhaps the owner's daughter (15? 16?) and appeared to be there to help when needed. She was sweet but clueless.

We enjoyed our Easter lunch but there were a few things that didn't meet our expectations based on the reviews I read before we went. Upon arriving for our 11:00 AM reservation, it seemed like they had also just arrived. It was like they were still opening the restaurant (ex: turning on lights in the dining room, putting flowers on the tables, lights candles on the tables). It also smelled really weird when we walked in. The older man (maybe the owner) did not say a word to us as he walked us to our table and gave us the menus which was odd, but when our waitress arrived to our table, she was very friendly and did a great job taking care of us. The iced tea tasted old and I'm guessing it was from the day before. Several in our party were unable to drink it so that was disappointing . Our food came out fairly quickly which wasn't surprising because our table was the only one in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes (which seemed odd on Easter). Food was above average, but nothing was overly delicious. Based on the amount of Italian restaurants in the area (and some that we really love) I doubt we would return.

It seems like a very quaint Italian restaurant. It has been hard to find good quality Italian food in Texas, after coming from the NY area, so we often make our own. It has to be very hard to run a restaurant with all the competition around here, but we will be back.

We enjoyed our time spent with Mio celebrating Valentines Day. We always have a good experience and love the food. Waitress did the best she could under the busy circumstances but failed following up on a couple requests we made. Nevertheless, we look forward to our next visit!!!!

Wonderful family atmosphere for a great Italian NYE dinner. We were amazed with the quality of food for the fantastic NYE fixed price. The owner's family was friendly and attentive. And again the Lamb Chops, Filet Mignon and appetizers were delicious. Do yourself a favor and visit my new friends at MÍO.

2nd time returning to restaurant and this experience was by far the worst I have ever experienced. After having reservations at 6pm we did not leave until 8pm due to the lack of attention or server provided. We were a party of 4 with 3 glasses of wine. 2 glasses came back with dirty glass & floating items (not cork) inside. We had to tell him we were ready to order twice. Food came 30 minutes later (which is fine due to multiple large parties ahead of us). We finished our meals which were pretty good but had to ask him for Togo boxes twice, with one of those times I was forced to get up because he was walking back and forth and talking to staff for 5-10 minutes. Now it's time for our check, we had 3 glasses of wine, 2 apps, & 4 entrees which resulted in a check being more than calculated price. Come to find out, server, Zeynep had added gratuity. No where on website, menu or front door states gratuity will be added on certain party sizes or certain days. When confronted if we were singled out he said he chose it himself to put on our check and to speak to manager if we disagree & he's gone for the night Owner Dennis was not available but will get a call tomorrow!

No one had the same entree, but all were watery and without flavor. We have been to this restaurant in the past when it was a sister restaurant to Amore on Coit Road. It has obviously changed hands. We will never return, and I am embarrassed to have recommended it.

Short staffed when we arrived, so servce was average at best. Also, the AC was struggling a bit. But, the food was excellent, and the prices are great - lunch prices for a dinner-sized meal! Still love the decor, and nice and quiet for a business meeting.

This restaurant was ok. The experience might have been tainted by the fact that the A/C wasn't working properly on a 103° day. There was a large fan going, but that wasn't enough. Some dishes were really good, others not so much. Not exactly what we had envisioned.

This was our first visit. We were pleased with all aspects of our dinner. The food was quite good and the staff, though limited, was very friendly and efficient. This is a nice, affordable neighborhood restaurant.

This was our first time back to Mio since COVID. The outward appearance surprised us as we walked toward the restaurant. The outdoor speaker was hanging by its wire, and there were kids' toys and trash all over the outdoor eating area. Inside, the restaurant was clean and inviting. The servers were attentive and cheerful. We started our meal with the calamari appetizer. The calamari had great texture but smelled quite fishy. The marinara that accompanied the calamari was almost flavorless. I had the cioppino for my main entree while my wife had chicken marsala. Neither was good. The marsala was particularly bland. We previously enjoyed our experiences at this restaurant and found it to be slightly above average, affordable Italian food. However, our last experience may just be that...our last.

Probably the best pizza in Plano. Never had a bad meal off their varied menu dining in. Great staff.

Overall not too bad. Very attentive staff, and food was good. They serve bread/oil/vinegar, so consider that before ordering an appetizer. Definitely recommend the Formaggio al Forno. Very tasty. The Chicken and Sausage Giambotta was average, chicken seemed processed and the sauce didn't have much flavor. My date had a pasta and chicken w/ cappers plate (can't find it on the menu rn), that was good. Arrived and there was a large party of high school kids and maybe one/two other parties. They sat us next to the large party and next to their several boxes of wine. Would recommend they find another place to store open boxes of wine. They were out of various wines/beers, which is to be expected at times. The place is very loud, and don't expect to have an intimate dinner/conversation there. A couple was sat next to us, we may have well shared the table. They allow BOYB, not sure if there is a "cork" fee.
