It’s a great and cozy place for fine tasting Mediterranean cuisine. The appetizer platter was delicious and the beef shish kebab was flavorful. Will be coming back for more!

The Haydari had understated ingredients - walnuts, dill, garlic, olive oil and, of course, yogurt. There was no drip of pomegranate syrup and the dash of lemon did not mask the taste of walnuts. Excellent meze to sample the special lavash bread (surprisingly fluffy and with sesame seeds). The Shrimp Saute was doused in the classic red sauce (tomato and pepper paste perhaps with some paprika powder) and accompanied by rice. Jumbo shrimps are only offered in select Oriental restaurants. This place is not a member of that club by intent. The Grilled Whole Fish (sea bass a la Mediterranean or Bosphorus) had veggies (beets, carrots, cucumber and tomatoes). It was grilled perfectly and mercifully no butter had been applied. Reminiscent of the offerings along the Yenikapi Ferry Terminal but, of course, not as fresh. Catch and cook will always be incomparable. The Kunefe naturally did not have any artificial coloring because Turkish cuisine prides itself in avoiding artificial coloring. It is a little noisy inside but then if one is engaged in a deep conversation with one's dining companion then one can be oblivious to ambient distractions. The staff kept an eye on our table even from a distance. Never had to call out anyone for something that the staff had not already thought about - superlative customer care from experienced staff. There are some very popular dishes on the menu - Hunker Begendi and Ali Nazlik to name two that are not commonplace in DFW restaurants.Parking: While street parking is limited there are several public garages to choose from depending on whether you have plans to hop around.

Service was great, kind, quick and courteous.  We had Lamb shank and Lamb Saute.  Lamb shank was very different presentation, tasty but encased in a cheesy dough mixture that distracts from the lamb.  The Lamb Saute has great potential.  The sauce and spice mixture was delicious however that lamb was dry and flavorless in this mixture.  It was very tough in texture.  Had the lamb been marinated it may have been more tender and picked up the intended spice and sauce enhancers.

I had an incredible experience at Cafe Istanbul in Plano! My wife and I visited yesterday for dinner, and we were deeply impressed. Despite fasting, the staff graciously accommodated us by bringing out our food later and even provided a quiet space for prayer. The staff members were exceptionally kind and friendly, adding to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. And let's talk about the food – it was absolutely amazing! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. I can't recommend Cafe Istanbul highly enough – it's a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Turkish cuisine served with hospitality and care.Parking: Free parking garage across the street

My wife and I came to this restaurant many years ago and decided to return. The food is absolutely amazing! We had the mixed grill and everything was delicious! The servers are so friendly and attentive. The outdoor patio has a laid-back atmosphere. I’ll be back!Parking: There’s a parking garage right next to the restaurant.

Tasty food and friendly service. Love how they seasoned the lamb. Watch out for those pepper. Would come back for belly dance if they still have it. A little smaller on portion but enough to fill one up.

I rarely give a 4 star review to any restaurants but they are deserve my 4 star . On their service they need to work more specially their signature food is fresh cooked bread which they have long waiting time for providing bread . I think that's the least they should do to improve their service .

Last week, I visited this place. I had never eaten here before and was recommended by a coworker. It was incredible! Excellent meal - Tavuk beyti / Sucuk Izgara. We were pleased with the waiter's faultless assistance and service (bearded gentleman named Zeki, I think?) Without a doubt, I'll be returning here! Thanks!

Excellent food, service and ambience. Went here for lunch on a Sunday. Wasn't crowded at all. Staff was friendly and quick to respond. All the items tasted great. Definitely recommend the mix grill for 2.
