First order everything was great . Second order which I placed 4 days before the date I wanted them for , the Decadent Choc Cookies were not fresh but the rest definitely were . Please if we are placing an order and not picking it up till end of day ,the Cookies need to be baked same

I normally don’t review places, but I needed to highlight how impressed I was with their decorated cookies. Other places have beautifully decorated cookies, but taste terrible. This place has both great decoration and delicious cookies. Highly recommend!

Here is response from Cookies By Design. Also on earlier review it was to be 12 cookies with Code Free12. Hi Peter, I was the person who spoke to your wife and tried my best to explain to her the issues she had, twice. I will try to explain again, for the third time. The first issue she had was that fact that we were running a promotion for a FREE DOZEN gourmets (not sure where you got 7 cookies from, that has never been a promotion we have run in the past) all you would have had to do was put in the code "FREEDOZEN" and you would have seen the order for a dozen cookies pop up and a discount of $30 added to the receipt which is the cost of the box of dozen. Now, I am not sure if maybe she input the wrong code or forgot to put it in completely, but unfortunately, that was not added to the order (image of receipt below). Since that was not added to the order I would have NO POSSIBLE WAY of knowing you had tried to input the code. I have attached a copy of your receipt below so you can see exactly what I see when I receive the order. Now, if you had noticed that there was an error BEFORE I had shipped out your order, I would have HAPPILY added your dozen to the box before we shipped out. As this issue was only brought to my attention AFTER I had shipped out the order, there was nothing I could do at that point. I can not afford to pay another $20 out of pocket to send out a $30 box of dozen gourmets which would end up costing me a total of $50 (for your "free" cookies and the second shipping fee) on an error that was not of my own. If you had input the code and I had for some reason missed the cookies, then I would 100% have taken care of the cost of both and shipped that out. As for the second issue of arriving "LATE", I am also not sure where this came from. Please review your receipt below and look at the date your wife requested us to deliver the cookies (Friday 7/28/23) and then take a look at my fedex tracking and see if the package was not delivered in a timely manner.I understand your frustration, and will always do my best to take care of customers when the mistake was made by us. This time it was not and I tried my best to explain that. Even if the code was incorrect or not put in and you had reviewed your order beforehand, and called me, I would have gladly fixed it for you. Once that package gets shipped, it is out of my control. I hope this makes more sense and I apologize for any inconvenience.First of all I do not appreciate the condescending remark in your first line. Secondly my wife hit the apply code when ordering and for whatever reason it did not apply the code which was Free12. Obviously by the receipt it did not apply the code but in reality who checks their receipt after the order has been placed. We assume the the website places the correct order. Also you stated to my wife that why would you have to pay $20 for shipping and you would be out $50 for the cookies & shipping. If the dozen cookies cost $30 why then we charged $69.99 for 7 cookies? Is this because they have icing on them which seems crazy just for icing. If there is this complaint then as a business man you would be quick to rectify this issue to keep a customer but I would assume that you have so many customers that you do not need this one. Even if you were to issue a credit for future orders it is good business. Your answer below apologizing for any inconvenience is useless as you have not done anything to correct this issue.

I placed an order for a Mother's Day event. They were quick to take my cc info but failed to provide the product on the date promised. I had not received my order by late afternoon and kept getting the run around from the store and when I called their "corporate office". I drove to their "Corporate office" to get an explanation of why my order hadn't been delivered. Neither the "corporate office" nor the store communicated with each other and the order hadn't even been placed at either location until I arrived. I canceled the order in person and was told by Sylvia that they were "too busy" to process the refund right then. I am expecting that it will be processed today (5/15/2023) or I will be making another visit to their "corporate office". It is so very disappointing that I had to track down the status of this order only to find that it had not been placed. I will not recommend or order from here again.

They did a fantastic job on my son’s premiere night cookie bouquet in his school colors!!! Everyone loved it, especially my son. Great, friendly staff, and they even gave us a box to carry the cookie bouquet safely to the play!!! I highly recommend!!!

While the product and concept of Cookies By Design is nice... The service and communication is terrible. There is a single individual staffed for order intake- a terrible business idea. Emails bounce back regularly with poor connection to technology. The ordering system is centralized despite their franchised business model. This leads to confusion, simple but tragic errors, and altogether a poor experience for both this customer and the prospects who received an order late and with typos in messaging.

TERRIBLE!! I ordered an Easter decorating basket 3 weeks in advance of an event (4/1) only to have it delivered 2 days after our event... Customer service said shipping takes 3-5 days for delivery and then went on to say said I did not choose expedited delivery and they shipped the product (3/31) the day before so obviously it wouldn't be delivered for my granddaughters event in TN by 4/1 my desired delivery date... well then send it 3-5 days before my chosen date. I asked for a refund and was denied - but let me know the cookies are good for 14 days LOL (after our event). Super disappointing .. and to add insult to injury when we reached out the day of our event to find out where the shipment was we only could get a recorded message and response text with an inaccurate phone number!! .. just sad
