Had their Lasagna and Ravioli and both were subar, overpriced, and one was burnt. Everyone else there was taking advantage of the BYOB so clearly that's the draw of this place, not the food. Garlic Bread and Calamari were mediocre, tables are smooshed together with nit much room between people. Service was the only thing that was decent.

Bf and I visited for our weekly date night because I saw this place mentioned multiple times on r/Plano as one of the best Italian places around.

Bf and I both got salad with our dishes, and it was good for what it was. Dressing and lettuce was yummy, and you get one (1) slice of tomato on top. Could’ve used more toppings or at least more tomato, but I enjoyed it.

The garlic cheese bread we accidentally ordered because we thought they didn’t serve complimentary bread was pretty good. The garlic flavor was strong and I enjoyed it. It was also $6, which I do not believe it was worth.

I will fully go out there and say I ordered something technically not on the menu. I had seen Piccata as a dish on their online order, which is my favorite meal, so I asked the server if it was available. If not, I was totally happy to just order something off the menu. She said it was available and as such, that’s what I got. I’ve had a lot of Piccata, since it’s my favorite, and this… sucked, frankly. It was one of the blandest meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The sauce tasted like nothing. The noodles tasted and had the texture of overcooked ramen noodles without the flavor packet. The chicken was good, with a good breading and texture for piccata and a bit more lemon flavor (but not by much). I threw in a decent amount of salt and butter from the bread and it did not save it. Was it gross? No, but it was also $20. I could’ve gotten cheesecake factory’s top tier version of this dish for only $3 more. Now, I know, this was off menu, which is why I’m not completely dinging them for it.

Bf got one of the signature dishes which came with both eggplant and chicken. He said he couldn’t taste the eggplant much and the pasta had a funny texture. I enjoyed his sauce well enough, but it was bland for him, who wanted a bit more kick. He also noted that the chicken was pretty good in his dish also.

Overall, our meal came out to $75, which is more than I usually spend at restaurants of a similar style and audience. This food was not worth $75. I estimate the worth being perhaps $30 max for the value.

I really wanted to like this place more. It was homey and the staff was really friendly. But the food fell flat in value for price. Bf had said there’s a few other things there he wants to try, mainly seafood dishes, but were it up to me alone, I wouldn’t be back. Go to Bella Italia instead :)

Went here for dinner on a Friday night.

I ordered the chicken aristocrat and I really liked the chicken, the pasta was well cooked with great texture. I feel the dish could have used more eggplant and the sauce was missing something in the flavor, maybe some pepper?

The bread that came with our order was great and of a couple different types.

My partner ordered a dish that was available online but not on the physical menu and we learned why, it wasn't very good, just too bland. Don't try to order the chicken picatta.

Otherwise, the service was great for how busy the restaurant was and the atmosphere was pretty alright. Mostly bland walls with framed historical photos and old menus or other documents. I did like the fake grape trellis decor.

This place is really cute! BYOB- but there is a corkage fee of $2 per glass. It’s only
open for 5 hours a day so it feels really intimate and nice. The covered patio is fenced in so there’s a bit of nice outdoor seating too. The food for the most part is pretty good! We got a bunch of different pastas so that we could try everything. There were a couple that felt a bit more watery as sauces, and a few that felt under salted but those are minor fixes. Maybe the pizza is better here. They give you house bread & a salad with your entree. There is a few things that you can order which are not on the menu- and everything sounds really good! The tiramisu was very delicious & the cheesecake tasted very fresh too.

This old Plano BYOB Italian restaurant is gold. Try the smoked chicken agnoloti and you will return. Their wings are better than wing specialty places or chain restaurants. Bring a bottle of Chianti and enjoy this place.

Carried out. Vibe could only get better with a change in decor. Service seemed shaky (they were full on a Friday, so somewhat expected). Food though, what REALLY counts at a 35 year old Italian place, right?! Regrettably underwhelmed. My meatball sub had no texture - neither the bread nor the meatball. Frozen meatballs?? Lasagna, same way. Needed way more flavor, with garlic practically absent.

I'll give the pizza a try next time, but for me, Italian ain't baseball...2 strikes are enough.

Been a regular for years! Great specials, but my go to is mix &match, where you can create your own creation. Family owned, NY based family. Authentic.

Dietary restrictions: Can request light oil, dressing on the side, steamed veggies.

I’ve been coming here once in a while when I’m missing the awesome Italian food I grew up with in the NYC suburbs. Trust me, we NYers know if it’s the real deal when we walk in and smell the garlic aroma and fresh marinara sauce wafting from the kitchen. The lasagna is outstanding, pasta dishes are very good and the Veal Parmesan I had last week was perfect. Don’t expect the big box restaurant vibe or the insincere phony greetings you get in chain restaurants. If Joe Covino says it’s nice to see you, he means it! Highly recommended!!!

My dining experience was a 10+, from the cozy ambience, the friendly and attentive staff, an amazing chicken dish and ending our experience with a very tasty dessert.
