Being a halal joint, food is to the point and customer service is also good. A bit pricey but what is not in these days. A definitely must to try it out when in DFW area.

Food was decent, service was lacking. The uncle with the gray hair was rude for absolutely no reason which ruined the entire experience. The elderly uncle was kind though. Would rather go someplace else that has better service.
Bhabi said they taste fish yesterday and it was good, and today I ordered the fish and it was excellent! So it’s an awesome try and it’ll please your pallet! You should also put your tongue on fire with some of the spicy sauce on the side!

Such delicious food and great service! The meat here is zabiha, the food is affordable, and the owner is amazing. I definitely will try to be back whenever I’m in Dallas.

Zabiha halal Chinese food in the heart of Plano?! Yes please!! 🙌 We were so happy to stumble upon Crescent Moon while out thrifting in the area. The DFW halal scene is still heavy on hot chicken and coffee shops, so this place felt like a refreshing and delicious change of pace.
The restaurant is small, cozy, and unassuming, with Al Jazeera playing on the TV and a steady stream of folks coming in for big takeout orders. There’s also an extra room tucked away for larger groups or Ramadan nights, which is a nice touch.
Service was minimal but efficient—straightforward and to the point, which honestly was fine by us. Our food came out hot, fresh, and fast.
We ordered the most-recommended dishes: Mongolian beef and sesame chicken, both served with a generous bowl of fluffy white rice in a cool warming dish. The Mongolian beef had a little kick, and the sesame chicken was flavorful and satisfying. Portion sizes were large, and we devoured most of it between the two of us. They also provide hot chili crisp and sweet & sour sauce on the side, which was great for dipping!
Drink options are limited to canned sodas or bottled water—nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
Only critique: the menu is extensive (which is exciting!) but a bit hard to navigate. No pictures or descriptions, so unless you’re already familiar with certain dishes, you might feel a little lost. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu, insha'Allah.
All in all, Crescent Moon is a hidden halal gem—great for when you're craving hearty Chinese comfort food without the guesswork of whether it’s zabiha. Highly recommend giving it a try.

The food used to be good but new owner and whatever changes were made is absolutely terrible. Wouldn’t let us choose where to sit when the food came the owner asked how it is and when we said there was a big change in the recipe he just listened and walked away. Also never consistent with the recipe sometimes the food will be too salty, sometimes spicier, and now smaller portions and not delicious anymore.

My wife placed an order over the phone, she repeated herself and was made assure everything was put in right. Upon entering NOBODY greeted her, workers ignored her for about 5 minutes with some workers not even looking at her. But passed by her multiple times. Customer service seems to be a lost art.
The food was all wrong and the lady up at the front seemed shocked and put out that we wanted what we ordered instead of just taking a loss. The chicken was like jerky, all dried out and stringy/hard. My wife was mad when she got home and stated she will not be going back

Crescent Moon might not look like much from the outside — it’s definitely one of those unassuming, hole-in-the-wall spots — but don’t let that fool you. The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious.
We tried the Kung Pao Chicken, Jalapeño Chicken, and Fried Rice, and everything hit the mark. The Kung Pao had that perfect mix of savory heat and crunchy peanuts, while the Jalapeño Chicken was crispy, spicy, and packed with flavor. The fried rice was simple, well-seasoned, and tied the meal together perfectly.
The place isn’t fancy, but the food speaks for itself. It’s clear they care about quality and flavor. If you’re in the area and craving authentic, no-frills Chinese food, Crescent Moon is a hidden gem worth discovering.
