Einstein Bros. Bagels

I had never been to Einstein Bagel before, the staff made sure they left a great first impression. I walked in and and was immediately greeted. I had no clue what to get, but I saw a sandwich on display something with maple, It looked pretty tasty so I ordered it. The cashier ensured me I made a good choice so I waited for my meal, no even 5 minutes later, I received my order from friendly faces ! First bite, I knew I would be returning again! Thank you guys for making sure my experience was great, you must have an amazing General Manager to lead such an amazing team!

Store has so much potential based on location alone. sad the inside is a dump and it looks like no updates have been made since maybe 1990 or so. And not in a good way like those teal and pink taco bells or BKs. It just looks run down. Maintenance has not been good either.

All the floor tile grout and crevices are quite obviously filled with black gunk. No idea what color the grout used to be. Corners on the floor where the mop cant reach easily are filled with gunk and debris. Lots of gnats inside. Bathroom has a ghetto barrel bolt latch attached to the door. Paper dispenser borderline broken because the lever doesnt spring back. Lighting inside is bad and they even tinted the north facing windows for whatever reason, and theres not much lighting inside to make up for it. Dingy. Odd layout of booths and tables. Empty alcoves, bad menu signage. Whole store feels constantly like it's about to shut down any day.

Luckily this is plano so the people have money and bad taste so this location will soldier on for the forseeable future.

The starbucks next door is much nicer.

I place my order online, and after 15 minutes I walk in the store. There were messes everywhere. The checkout line area had toppled over cups with huge drink spills that no-one seemed bothered to clean up even though there was no rush, there were only 2 other people there. And I don't mind waiting a little longer for my order if its running a little late, but they didn't have almost ANYTHING that I had ordered. Both bagels were out of stock and the shmear was gone. Then they offer to replace it with another bagel type. I say sure, then they go check and wouldn't you know it, that one is ALSO GONE. It can't possibly be that hard to have your systems update when you run out of something. Then after waiting another 10 minutes for them to start my whole new order, they hand it to me and I almost walk out before realizing that they didn't even give me my entire order, my side was still missing! So I go back and have to wait AGAIN while they prepare my side. This was my first time walking into an Einstein's and after that experience, it will probably be my last.

My drinks spilled in my car, and I was already having a rough morning, so I go back to the restaurant to pay for another two drinks, but D’ajenae was quick to express her sympathies and remake the drinks for me. Her simple act made my day so much better and I was able to get going on cleaning my car :’)

I ordered the avocado toast and the iced chai latte this morning and it was pretty underwhelming. The avocado toast tastes pretty bland and unseasoned, it was overall just an ok bagel. And as for the chai, wheres the chai??? It tastes like soy-milk with some strange chemical flavor in it. Theres no spice to the chai whatsoever. The only describer that comes to mind is that it tastes how nail polish remover smells. The people who work here give off a sense that they clearly do not want to be here.

I have been frequenting this location literally for decades. I have written to Einsteins corporate a few times over the years about how unclean the whole place is. It does not seem to matter to them as the crowds continue to roll in. Their bagel is still one of the best in my opinion and this store has such overall potential. It is large and has a decent sized patio blocked from the sun on a summer and fall morning....but there is ALWAYS trash everywhere (patio) and the store itself is really not well kept (don't look too close along the baseboards, corners etc.....who knows what the "back" looks like). And to add to matters, the vagrant population around this location seems to be growing.....I was approached twice while sitting there today.....all-in-all, needs work.....but again, the bagels are still amongst the very best!

This business used to have good bagels. They are now thinner and have huge holes so they can charge you more for less. The quality has also gone down. Go elsewhere.

Totally incorrect order
Put onions on an order for a senior who is allergic to them.
None of the $19.94 order was correct.
Manager picked up phone and hung up 4 times without answering.
Finally reached them and she complained it was "almost closing time." Refused refund and gave me a useless "corporate" number for IT and HR issues.
RUN FAST AND FAR AWAY!!!!
