Had breakfast and it was delicious. I also had some atole de nuez and it hit the spot.My only complaint is that the heater seemed to not be working. We has to leave our coats on to eat. The staff were wearing sweaters/coats because it was so cold in there. Luckily the atole warmed me up some.
Food is always delicious and normally everyone is very kind. But today it seemed like the woman up front didn't want to take my boyfriend and I's order. We asked for Posole and they gave us Menudo. We had to explain to her we wanted Posole not Menudo and we still got it. The texture of the tripe in Menudo is something I can't eat unfortunately. I know my Spanish isn't very good but I really do try...
I like this restaurant so much better than I did the previous restaurant that occupied this space. It doesn’t look like much on the outside but inside is nice, new, and cozy. Very comfy. Yummy complementary chips with yummy salsa. I have been searching for the best beef soup (caldo de res) around the neighborhood and I’m happy to report that theirs is a very good beef soup (better than the one available at Taco Rico or Mama Vicky’s).
