Food was AMAZING. We had it catered for our daughter’s birthday party. The 2 men (owner & chef?) I spoke handled everything with care from the beginning. The most affordable catering prices compared to many of the different Afghan/Persian places in DTX. The portions were also generous. Will definitely be ordering again!

We’ve been coming here for several years, however, hadn’t been here in awhile, but today everything was exceptional. We were amazed by the taste of the food this time, the cleanliness, and customer service. We joked that the management at this place must have changed cause it seemed so different in a good way…. And, well, they confirmed that the management is different and it really shows in the food quality and customer service! The food is well seasoned and the new management is super kind. We highly recommend this place for some authentic Afghan and Persian food.

SCAMS. They started charging 15% for dining in. But there is no service when you dine in. They don’t serve you refills, you just go to the fountain to get them yourself. Nowhere is this told, you just get charged and see it on your receipt. The food is very overpriced now. 2 kabob plates with rice comes out over $50. Do you really expect your demographic audience to keep paying this? You can keep pulling a fast one at the register, but believe me people will notice and not return back. Keep the money, but stop this dishonest practice. It will not help you in the long run.

This is my favorite kabob place around. I’ve been here a few times and the staff always make you feel like family and the food is always very good. It’s also nice to be in the dining room around lunch time when all of the sunlight is coming in through the windows.

⭐️☆☆☆☆ Extremely Overpriced and Disappointing Experience
I had a very disappointing experience at Kabab Express, and I honestly feel ripped off. We ordered 5 koobideh kababs with white rice plate and the total came out to $135, which is absolutely unreasonable for the quality and quantity we received.
First of all, the kabab quality was poor—dry, not fresh, and lacking flavor. For a place that specializes in kababs, this was unacceptable. The portion size did not justify the price at all. On top of that, they charged extra for things that should normally be included, like sodas/drinks and even the grilled tomatoes that usually come with kababs at most places.
To make matters worse, you’re paying luxury prices for very average (at best) food. I can get the exact same food elsewhere for around $65, with better taste, better portions, and better service. There is no justification for charging more than double.
This place feels like it’s focused more on overcharging customers than providing quality food or fair value. The owner seems extremely greedy, nickel-and-diming customers instead of building loyalty. Restaurants survive on repeat customers, and this pricing strategy guarantees I will never return.
If you’re looking for good kababs at a fair price, avoid this place. There are many better options with better food, honest pricing, and respect for customers. Kabab Express is definitely overpriced and not worth it.
