This was my first time visiting Go Go Curry. I was extremely pleased with my experience!! Ambiance: There was medium lighting and lower music levels playing. There is not much seating but a handful of tables and chairs. The place is fairly smaller but not crowded at all. Service: There was not too many workers but the guy cooking was extremely friendly. Amazing 10/10 service and made us feel extremely welcomed!! Chicken curry katsu: There was a good portion of chicken and it was nice and crispy. The sauce on top of the chicken was good and not too sweet. The curry definitely has a more mild taste which I prefer because I don't like overpowering curry flavors. There is a very thin layer of curry on top of the rice but I didn't mind because most places overload the curry, making the chicken too soggy.

Small place. Curry was okay, not the best but the kiosk and the fast food lane at least guarantees not too much of a wait time.

Nice find in West Plano. The katsu and tempura were fried perfectly, and the rice with curry sauce was good. However, the curry was lacking in flavor. I didn't taste the spices that I normally do in Japanese Curry, or salt. Maybe my experience in Japan was too long ago, but it did leave more to desire. I did think that the portions for the money were worth it. The store was clean in the inside, and it's a good quick spot for lunch. Easy to order from the devices in the front.

Not a bad place right off of Preston in West Plano. For the value, the combo is well worth it. I ended up with the Homerun Pork. The katsu and tempura are fried perfectly, the sausage tasted like a giant Lil' Smoky, and the rice with curry was good. However, I feel like the curry could have had more curry taste. It was kind of bland, didn't get a good dose of the spices that make curry, curry. Portions and prices work, the location is clean, and a good spot for lunch. Not great for big parties though. Anyhow, it'll do!

Went to try kanazawa style curry and I enjoyed the flavor! Definitely different if you are use to the more lighter and stew like consistency of Japanese style curry. The curry was more thick and darker in color but still tasty in its own right. We got the chicken katsu and the dumplings and we enjoyed it. The atmosphere is a relaxed, quick eats, kind of place so don't expect any fancy tables or silverware. Definitely give it a try if you don't want to fly out to the east coast or Japan!

Go Go Curry in Frisco, Texas, deserves high praise for its delicious and authentic Japanese curry offerings. The curry is flavorful, with just the right balance of spices, and the choice of protein options caters to various tastes. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring a satisfying meal. The restaurant's commitment to quality and quick service is commendable. The cozy ambiance adds to the overall dining experience. If you're a curry enthusiast or looking to try something new, Go Go Curry in Frisco is a delightful destination that won't disappoint.

Excellent, nostalgic comfort food.A few things to note: The tonkatsu is thinner, more tender, and less fatty than you would typically be used to in the traditional dish form. Personally, I enjoy the thinner cuts here more than what you would find traditionally, and I imagine most western palettes would agree (Coco Ichibanya down the road does the fattier, thicker, less tender cuts - I am not a fan of the very chewy pork but to each their own). The curry is more region specific than you will find elsewhere, but delicious none the less. The rice was sticky, not mushy, and fresh. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well. Terrific guy who clearly cares about his restaurant. Great representation of a popular dish and it really hits home if your mom used to make it for you growing up. Perhaps on the pricier side, but, hey, a Big Mac meal costs 13$ so maybe this isn't too bad at all. Go! Go! Curry! nails it!

No wait, great food! I went on a weekend evening and was able to order right away. I used the kiosk to place my order. The food came out in compostable to go containers, which was fine by me. The chicken curry was darker in color but tasted great. Overall, it was a great experience. While I was eating, a few people stopped by for takeout orders, but otherwise it wasn't too busy.

The curry was so bland and the the katsu was dry and bland to. The rice was cold, waste of money in my opinion

Pricy curry place. Food was under level. Kinda like fast food style. Not good at all. Won't be back. Sorry

My family and I decided to visit Go Go Curry tonight since we were in the area. I had heard of this place before in Japan and wanted to try it out. On a Saturday night, we spent about 30-45 minutes inside and during that time no one else was in the restaurant but us.Seeing an international icon with no one else in it is concerning to say the least. We ordered at their kiosk and they have a very simple menu with a similar base but different protein options. I shared the grand slam curry option with my family and it was not bad. The chicken Katsu and pork katsu were very thin and I could barely tell the difference. The sausage tasted like an American style sausage which was a little surprising. I enjoyed the crispy tempura and the curry flavor was just average. Other people in my party ordered individual curry and it came with similar garnishes. The dish prices were around $14-$15 for regular size single portions, but they sell larger combo meals up to $50+. For the price, the dishes were a little lacking and it would be better suited at the $10 price point. This place is alright, flavors are nothing special and I do not think I would come back. It's just ok for it's price point and the area.
