Amazing again! I ordered the Mahi Mahi bacon fish tacos and was blown away at the spice and flavor of the dish! The best by far that I’ve had outside of Cali! Seriously, this must be added to the menu permanently! Great job guys!

Our waitress Michelle was rude, did not greet us and short with us from the time we were seated. She did not offer water and when we asked she was defensive. When we received it one had no ice. We ordered drunks, she brought one and again became defensive when we asked about the second drink. Our food came out in increments. She offered no condiments so I got up to ask for it myself. She made us feel very uncomfortable snd acted as if she didnot want to serve us. We spent over $100 and tipped based on the service received. We normally tip very well atlesst 25% or more. . Michele picked up the check looked at it, then turned and rolled her eyes at us. This is by far the worst service we’ve received in quite sone time and is unacceptable. We will not return to this location.

Truly Southern in nature, decor, and FOOD. Great for lunch and dinner, everything on the menu is great. Best calamari I've had in a long time. The salads are elaborate and delicious. The gumbo is very good. The service is friendly with true southern charm. A gem.

Everything is fantastic here. My friends and I eat here at least once a week. Oysters and the crab are always fresh. The service is impeccable and the restaurant is super clean. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great seafood restaurant.

Very good selection of food, daily specials, and menu items. Oysters on the half shell were fab! Service was prompt courteous! Food Overall was great! The atmosphere is very Lively and a bit loud. I would recommend and return for great seafood entrees and prompt service!

Half Shells is a great place to eat. Why? Well the food is great and the staff and manager are very friendly and if you’re not happy they’re not happy. One of our meals was just a bit delayed so one person in our party was not able to eat with the group. Guess what? The manager observed what happened and without us saying anything apologized and 100% comped that late meal. That action alone made me a repeat customer not because that meal was free but because the manager and staff cared that they made a mistake in timing. We all make mistakes, none of us are perfect. I truly appreciated in this day in age where it seems most people blame their mistakes on others it was awesome to see the busy manager helping out his staff with bussing tables to seating customers to serving tables their plates…out of his presence of mind caught what was going on at our table. That was great leadership as well. The manager wasn’t in some back office letting his team fight with keeping up….no…this manager lead in the trenches by example, the highest level of leading others in my books. We have been back twice since mid May 2025 and the service was perfect though they were extremely busy. I strongly recommend this Half Shells because of the great food, fair prices and friendly staff topped off with a manager who truly cares about his customers experience as well as his team’s success.

Her first experience was that the one in Dallas we happen to be staying in Richardson and decided to come over and enjoy your restaurant the food and service were fabulous I have not had a waiter that attentive kind courteous in a long time even though we are from Arizona when we come we will be eating there thank you so much for the experience the Holland Family
