I visited this restaurant for the first time. I ordered chickey kebab and wings. It took them 30 minutes to prepare the food. The chicken kebab was horrible. Instead of whole chicken chunks, they used some minced chicken and it tasted weird. The wings were okay. Regardless I would never order food from this restaurant again.

We have used them at least once a week for take outs and occasionally for small catering orders. They are generally good. Food taste can vary even for the same item. Food tastes better than many other halal restaurants in the area. It is not for fine dining experience. Prices are about average. Most main menu items are from $13 to $18.

They have arguably the worst goat biryani in DFW. They are stingy with the rice; don't fill the tray completely and the meat is more bone than actual meat. I have experienced this multiple times. This restaurant really doesn't really care about their food anymore.

Service quality has decreased significantly but food is still good. You can see cost cutting measures have been put in place, like reduced staff.

Yesterday I had a very bad experience. I drove almost 25 minutes in extremely bad weather after calling ahead and confirming that the food would be ready for pickup.
When I arrived, the front desk person didn’t ask any questions and simply said they were out of food. There was no apology or explanation.
After making the effort to drive such a long distance in poor weather, this was very disappointing and frustrating. Better communication and basic courtesy would have made a big difference.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)
If there were a way to give more than 10 stars, Jimmy’s Restaurant Catering would deserve every single one of them and more. This was, without exaggeration, one of the most outstanding catering and buffet experiences I have ever had in my life. From the very first sip of tea to the very last bite of dessert, everything tasted **1000% amazing** and exactly how authentic Pakistani food is *supposed* to taste. Not “close,” not “almost,” not “restaurant-style Americanized” — but truly, deeply, genuinely authentic.
Let’s start with the **Pakistani tea**, because that alone deserves its own award. Rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, and brewed to absolute perfection. It had that comforting aroma and depth that instantly takes you back home. One sip and you know immediately that this kitchen understands tradition, patience, and precision.
Now the food — where do I even begin? The **haleem** was flawless: slow-cooked, silky, hearty, and bursting with layered spices. You could taste the time and care put into it. The **nihari** was simply incredible — deep, rich gravy, tender meat, perfectly spiced without overpowering the soul of the dish. This is the kind of nihari that sets the standard and makes you compare every other nihari you’ve ever had.
The **korma** was elegant and balanced, creamy without being heavy, aromatic without being greasy. The **kunna** was next level — bold, rustic, and intensely flavorful, exactly how kunna should be, cooked low and slow with spices that hit every note just right. This is not easy food to execute, and Jimmy’s nailed it.
Then came the rice and grills. The **chicken biryani** was outstanding — fragrant basmati rice, perfectly cooked chicken, beautiful color, and spices that were vibrant but never harsh. Every bite tasted complete. The **beef sheesh kebab** and **chicken sheesh kebab** were juicy, tender, and grilled to perfection with that smoky char that makes all the difference. The **malai boti** was unbelievably soft, creamy, and flavorful — it literally melted in the mouth.
And yes — **lamb chops were included in the buffet**, and they were phenomenal. Tender, well-marinated, grilled just right, and full of flavor. Most places treat lamb as an afterthought; here, it was treated like a centerpiece.
The dessert selection sealed the deal. The **loki halwa** was delicate, comforting, and perfectly sweet. The **gajar halwa** was rich, warm, and nostalgic — the kind that tastes homemade, not commercial. Ending the meal with these desserts felt like the perfect finale to an already unforgettable experience.
What truly sets Jimmy’s Restaurant Catering apart is consistency. Every single item on the buffet tasted like it was made with intention, expertise, and respect for Pakistani cuisine. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt out of place. Nothing felt “off.” Every dish tasted exactly how it *should* taste — which is rare, even at well-known restaurants.
This was not just food. It was an experience. It was comfort, celebration, authenticity, and excellence all in one. Jimmy’s has set a standard that is incredibly hard to match.
Without hesitation, I can confidently say this is the **#1 best Pakistani buffet in the entire USA**. If you care about real flavor, real tradition, and food that leaves a lasting impression, Jimmy’s Restaurant Catering is unmatched. Absolutely amazing, absolutely unforgettable, and 1000% worth every bite.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely OUTSTANDING — Jimmy’s Food & Catering is the BEST!
I cannot say enough amazing things about Wajih bhai and Jimmy’s Food & Catering. He catered the food for all of our wedding events and truly went above and beyond in every single way.
From the appetizers to the main food, desserts, drinks, décor, setup — EVERYTHING was flawless. Not only was it beautifully presented, but the taste was unreal. There wasn’t a single person who didn’t come up to me and say “the food was AMAZING!”
So many guests told me it made them feel like they were back home — and honestly that’s the biggest compliment anyone can give for desi food. 💛
Wajih bhai is professional, kind, detail-oriented, and someone who genuinely cares about making your event special. He didn’t just provide catering… he delivered an experience.
If you’re planning any event and want food that people will talk about for weeks, book Jimmy’s Food & Catering without thinking twice.
Thank you Wajih bhai for making our celebrations unforgettable! 🙌✨

I had an issue with my order where it was mistakenly picked up by the wrong DoorDasher. When I contacted the restaurant, Faraz answered the call and handled the situation in a very courteous manner. Instead of ignoring the issue, he took full responsibility, remade the order, and ensured it was sent to me again without any hassle. His communication was polite, clear, and truly professional, which really stood out compared to many other restaurants that would simply say it’s not their problem. On top of the excellent service, the food was absolutely delicious and fresh.Highly impressed with both the customer service and food quality. Definitely recommend this place and special thanks to Faraz for the great experience.

The irani/afghani buffet was a joke. Starting from the setup their place cannot accommodate a buffet setup and they ran out off food. Why they keep accepting people when they had no rice. I was there by 8pm and had made an appointment. I was standing in line for 10 mins near the food and the line was not moving apparently the couple in front were just waiting for the kabab to be refilled. Then someone had a brilliant idea of we will get your kebabs to ur table and finally we were able to get some food. There was leg quarter chicken that was probably the worst chicken I ever had. Everyone was wondering what the chicken was. When I informed the manager all he said was I already spoke to the chef about it. The only thing decent was kabuli pulao and the chicken kabab that was only refilled after long waits. I will never again go back to this place for a buffet. My humble request to the owners please move to a bigger place if you really want to have buffets. I keep hearing so much about Jimmy food but this was such a disappointment.
