This was our first visit to Kai. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The food was excellent. The only complaint I have is we were seated out on the patio and most of the tables out there were large parties and it was very loud. As a couple on a date, I would've preferred to have been seated inside the restaurant where not was not so loud.
The food is very good, but the portions are too small for the price, for example, if you order sashimi, you're only given three pieces, which if two people are dining doesn't really make sense - there should be an even number of pieces. The size of the rolls is also very small.
Went for bday dinner. Service was less than desirable, there was no walk through of the menu, no recommendations, no sale point. Not to mention the time between being sat, then greeted and orders taken surpassed what would seem like an appropriate time. One of the patio seats was sunken in, rather than complain I simply sat on a few throw pillows. Overall, yikes. With the service received, you would think that the restaurant was backed up due to level of capacity, but there weren't many tables sat.... maybe understaffed? Either way, I hate to say it but the service was horrible... not what one would expect for a a restaurant as such. We weren't up sold or taken through a dinning experience that one would expect from a restaurant as such. I regret bringing my guest here to celebrate.
Great food. Ambiance was fantastic as well. Had a great seat on the open air patio. Really good drinks as well.

You are just paying for the ambience and the food was just awful. I have been across multiple Thai restaurants around the world and this is my worst experience till date with the taste. Drinks and dessert are disappointing as well. Nothing to name as good except the ambience . Customer service is not good either!! I would definitely not recommend if you want to enjoy the Thai cuisine.

We spent the truth super , I went with my group of friends , we are Hispanics who have been in the United States for some time , I start that I find that we have to change is the music that should be all the generos and the DJ did not put music for the Hispanic public, but for the rest everything excellent, a good attention and spectacular place 👌

This place was not good at all. We had a reservation for 5 at 6:30 pm and were sat a very small table. We asked to be moved to a larger table as the entire restarunt was empty and were told "No" in 30 seconds by our waitress who apparently didnt care , not even about her own appearance. Ive worked in this industry for many years before I graduated college and have never been treated with so much disrespect. If your going to pay 500$ for a meal , GO TO Del Frisco's. Shogun Hibachi in Mckinney tastes better and your treated better. Rethink the visit to this not so satisfactory sushi bar. I had to go back to my car to regain my composure because it was so irritating.

This was the best dinner experience we have ever had in Dallas. The food, the ambiance, Chef Don, all of it was amazing! We were catered to by the wait staff (Ashley) and Chef Don. The GM, Nicole, runs a very fine concept and we will definitely be back and pass it on to our friends!
Perfect for date nights! Drinks we well made and food we tried was awesome!

Upscale restaurant. We eat off a pre-fix menu which limited out food options. The salmon with bok choy was excellent in the main course as was the old fashioned!

I made a reservation to go eat at KAI with my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary. We were all dressed up and excited to share a nice dinner as reviews were pretty good. When we got there they said, Oh we're closing our kitchen as the restaurant is not as busy, but y'all can get drinks even though we already made a reservation. I thought this was super unprofessional and no compensation was offered. We paid $40 for 2 drinks. The management was terrible and the hostess was rude. Save your money and go elsewhere if you don't want to waste your gas or time.
Great experience. I re proposed to my wife for our 20 anniversary. The wait staff helped make it a great experience! Great ambiance and food.
Great service! Loved the food and atmosphere! We got the veggie dumplings, lobster tacos and tuna tower! So good!
