Good food & clean. For sure they need more support from our fellow Filo out there🇵🇭 A must try place.
Best Filipino food in Dallas, we had the Tocino and the Lechón Kawali. But everything I’ve tried here has been fresh and great. The service is fast and friendly.
I was really craving lechon kawali, so I phoned in to place an order for pick-up. When I arrived, I was surprised to see two young kids one at the cashier and a smaller boy near the food area. I told them I came to pick up my order, but they seemed unsure and asked for my name. It appeared my order wasn’t properly recorded.
Thankfully, the senior owner came out and recognized that I had called earlier. He then went to the kitchen, and when the chef came out, I asked if the food was ready. He replied, “Oh, I’m just going to cut it now.”
Unfortunately, what followed was the worst lechon kawali I’ve ever had.
• It was almost all fat, with barely any actual meat.
• The skin was chewy, not crispy at all.
• The pork belly was sitting in about 1/4 inch of oil in the container.
• The small portion of meat I could find was dry and overcooked, likely from being toasted or reheated in a rush.
Honestly, I felt it was cooked in haste with no care for quality. For the price, I expected much better, it was a total letdown and was a waste of money. I really wish I had taken a photo to show just how poorly it was prepared.
Will not come back to this place .
sarap, halo halo, caldareta, adobo chicken, very good, dinuguan is the best ive had here in north tx.
okayyy this place impressed me 🤩 the food was great (i got bbq or something) but the texture was... eh. food was a bit hard and i have braces on so it made it harder to like eat n stuff 💔 flavor was good i liked it and it got me and my dad filled ❤️🩹 service was good 👍 decorations were AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG 🤩

If you're looking for a place that brings you back to the heart of the Philippines, Kainan Sa Laguna is the spot! This family-owned gem serves up authentic, home-cooked Filipino dishes that hit the soul with every bite. From the savory, perfectly seasoned Adobo and Kare-Kare to the crispy Lechon Kawali, every dish is a reminder of mom’s cooking back home.
And let’s talk about desserts—oh my goodness! The Halo-Halo, Leche Flan, and Ube treats are absolutely to die for. The Sapin Sapin has real jack fruit! They don’t just serve food here; they serve memories, traditions, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality.
The atmosphere? Perfect for family gatherings, networking events, group lunches/dinners, or just a casual meal with friends. Plus, if you love Karaoke (and who doesn’t?!), just bring the mic, and let’s turn the night into a full-blown Pinoy party! 🎤🎶
If you haven’t been to Kainan Sa Laguna, you’re missing out on one of the best Filipino dining experiences around. Highly recommend—five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Our new go to Filipino food spot! You gotta get the sisig, bicol express, and halo halo!
Good food, served fast, and large portions! Enjoyed my tapa, and looking forward to trying some other Filipino favorites!
The foods were left over, they were stale…
Family and I were craving for a little piece of home with some halo-halo and we thought of Kainan Sa Laguna as we haven't been for a while. On this visit, we did dessert but will be back for entrees. Halo Halo was yummy and appreciate the fresh coconut, ube halaya, and saba banana in it! Salamat!

I just thought of coming to where I started eating Filipino Foods several years ago. Kainan sa Laguna is a Filipino Restaurant when I don’t feel like cooking. Now, I am here. I ordered Pinakbet with Shrimps, Calderetta and my favorite Bicol Express. Come on, come all and have the best of Filipino Foods in Kainan sa Laguna.
Amazing food and great service and great people
Great Filipino food, you can even order off the menu. It's cafeteria style unless you order. They have specials on the weekends
