New management!!!! Food all tasted like home. Very authentic. Owners are warm and friendly. Food are priced very fair. Generous servings. Highly recommend any veggie dish they make. Homemade tocino is tender and tasted authentic. Well, they make the best kare kare too in the whole of Texas

The fried pompano is very well done and you can’t seem to get all the meat. The bbq is overpriced and the rest on the menu. When ordering soup or with wet dishes, their container leaks. My suggestion, start using hair cover and lower your prices. Do better!

I have been coming to and ordering from this place for years and always trusted them, but the recent ownership changes really show. I placed a big catering order for pick up weeks in advance for Christmas Eve pickup at 3 p.m. because I was throwing a 6 p.m. dinner party and I thought that was ample time. When I arrived, nothing was ready and there were lots of people just standing around waiting on their orders. No one could tell me when my orders would actually be done, which was incredibly stressful with a party clock ticking. I finally got my order right before 6, rushed home, and guests were already arriving as we walked in the door. When I left, there were still people waiting on their orders. The previous owners handled large orders so much better and I honestly miss them. The food might still be fine for a casual night, but I would not recommend this place for catering or any time sensitive big orders.

We arrived at normal lunch hour and the assortment was disappointing. Very few items from the food bar to choose from.
We sat at a table to eat. The choices we made from the bar was cold and tasteless.

This is the best family style Filipino food in Dallas. This is the warm, comforting and delicious food you get from great family recipes. Everything was excellent! The lumpia was crispy and delicious, the pork adobe was flavorful and we'll seasoned. We topped it off with Halo Halo. We'll certainly be back!

Best Filipino food in Dallas, we had the Tocino and the Lechón Kawali. But everything I’ve tried here has been fresh and great. The service is fast and friendly.

I was really craving lechon kawali, so I phoned in to place an order for pick-up. When I arrived, I was surprised to see two young kids one at the cashier and a smaller boy near the food area. I told them I came to pick up my order, but they seemed unsure and asked for my name. It appeared my order wasn’t properly recorded.

Thankfully, the senior owner came out and recognized that I had called earlier. He then went to the kitchen, and when the chef came out, I asked if the food was ready. He replied, “Oh, I’m just going to cut it now.”
Unfortunately, what followed was the worst lechon kawali I’ve ever had.
• It was almost all fat, with barely any actual meat.
• The skin was chewy, not crispy at all.
• The pork belly was sitting in about 1/4 inch of oil in the container.
• The small portion of meat I could find was dry and overcooked, likely from being toasted or reheated in a rush.
Honestly, I felt it was cooked in haste with no care for quality. For the price, I expected much better, it was a total letdown and was a waste of money. I really wish I had taken a photo to show just how poorly it was prepared.
Will not come back to this place .

If you're looking for a place that brings you back to the heart of the Philippines, Kainan Sa Laguna is the spot! This family-owned gem serves up authentic, home-cooked Filipino dishes that hit the soul with every bite. From the savory, perfectly seasoned Adobo and Kare-Kare to the crispy Lechon Kawali, every dish is a reminder of mom’s cooking back home.

And let’s talk about desserts—oh my goodness! The Halo-Halo, Leche Flan, and Ube treats are absolutely to die for. The Sapin Sapin has real jack fruit! They don’t just serve food here; they serve memories, traditions, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality.

The atmosphere? Perfect for family gatherings, networking events, group lunches/dinners, or just a casual meal with friends. Plus, if you love Karaoke (and who doesn’t?!), just bring the mic, and let’s turn the night into a full-blown Pinoy party! 🎤🎶

If you haven’t been to Kainan Sa Laguna, you’re missing out on one of the best Filipino dining experiences around. Highly recommend—five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
