food is fairly good. there is nothing for vegetable dish. table is very small for four. metal chopsticks are heavy and unbalance. spoon for noodle is small and shallow. we ordered Galbi Jjim, but not available for an hour. The cleaning lady makes too much noises, by throwing dishes into the bucket, making loud unpleasant disturbing noises.

We were a group of six for my husband’s birthday so maybe that’s why service was terrible? Every table received kimchi except for us. Things were rushed and barely any service. The featured Galbi-jjim had extremely tough beef — could barely cut and chew. The squid appetizer was also very chewy. The chicken over rice was ok and so was the kooksoo itself though it could have been hotter.. Just very disappointing experience overall. The rest of the family must have wondered why we chose this place at all. Lesson learned.

When we were first checking out Kooksoo online the combo's appeared to be pricey. What wasn't clear was that they're intended to serve two people which was explained when we arrived. Each combo comes with a rice dish and a noodle dish, think family style dining. I guess it's possible for one person to eat a combo, I can't imagine finishing one by myself.

We also read, in a review, that the portions were small. I've bumped into this before in Korean restaurants. Kooksoo has a simple solution. Each of the combo's has the option to upsize. The noodle dish in our combo was $2.95 to upsize and the Bulgogi dish was $6.95 to upsize. We upsized both. When the food came, there was actually far more than we could eat.

By recognizing combos are meals for two and, if you think you may want a little extra, just upsize instead of ordering another combo Kooksoo is very reasonably priced.

So much for logistics...on to food.

Today we had the Jjamppong Combo and upsized the noodle dish (soup) and the rice dish. The soup was excellent. The noodles were perfect, with just enough texture to be slightly chewy as fresh noodles should be. The broth was spicy (at medium spicy level) and rich, a very delicious broth.

Our rice dish was Bulgogi. I've had so much Bulgogi in my time I couldn't imagine anything original. That said, Kooksoo proved me wrong. They stir fry roasted garlic into their Bulgogi. Because it's roasted, the pleasant taste of garlic is infused without being overpowering. Very good Bulgogi.

We'll definitely come back the next time we're in the mood for Korean noodle soup or Bulgogi.

Got two kooksoo beef noodle soups and a big plate of galbi ribs. It was so delicious, and everyone there was very friendly.

I’ve not been in this place yet in person but I know that it’s my go to for to go and delivery and is amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience and hope to try in person some time :-)

Food is very good. Fresh made noodles. The Kim chi is my favorite 🤤 Service is always amazing and very friendly.

I love food

I love the noodles and broth here! Personally, the beef kooksoo and the stir fried beef noodles are my favorites. The beef kooksoo is SO rich and flavorful, a really good mix of savory and sweet. The stir fried beef noodles are sort of like a pasta with a kind of strong beef flavor. But both of these dishes may be considered sweet to people who do not like sweet dishes, so if you are one of those people, I recommend the Jjampong! The Jjampong has an almost fresh taste to a savory, seafood based broth. If I HAD to complain about one thing, it would be that the tables are pretty small, but it worked out for my family! I definitely recommend eating here!
P.S. the Playlist at this restaurant always HITS, like I am bopping my head as I'm chomping down food.

We ordered kalbijjim which costed about $50 on Ubereats and the meat pieces had so much fat..
The flavor tasted really blend as well. I used to love their food but definitely gone downhill.

This is arguably one of the best (if not the best) authentic Korean restaurants in the DFW area. I love their soups, their broth is just something different, and their bulgogi is absolutely delicious. If you want to experience true Korean delicacies, come to Kooksoo. You will certainly be satisfied and be able to walk out happy.
