The atmosphere was fantastic! We enjoyed the Veg Kothu Parotta, Chennai Nikka Biryani, grilled chicken, pomfret fish and tea (by far the best tea I have had in US). Everything was excellent – from the food to the attentive staff and great ambiance. It’s easily one of the best restaurants in Dallas and absolutely worth a visit

Dint like the food at all !
Only tea and veg kothu parotta were okay.
Egg kurma was not good - no taste, no vegetables in the gravy ,just the boiled egg.
Masala dosa was no good either - That was the last straw 😒
Friends had non veg biriyani as well and they too did not like it

As I entered the restaurant, I expected great food because I had peeked at the reviews on Google. However, I did not know that I would be as disappointed as I am now. We ordered the Gobi 65 and tea. Little did I know that would know that these would be the best things that the restaurant had to offer. We ordered chicken and veg kotthu porotta, masala dosas, and the chicken 65 biriyani. The first problem arose when we discovered that they would give each one separately. It took centuries for a simple masala dosa to come and when the staff called, they didn't even have the curry ready. The food's taste was worse than the service. Almost all of the food was bland, and the porotta tasted like it was made of sand. The masala had no taste. The atmosphere was terrible as well. Tables were shaky and nothing went well here. I am heavily disappointed after tasting the food here after such great expectations.

Madurai Thattu Kadai serves good food that captures authentic flavors, but the experience is a bit mixed. While the dishes are tasty, the prices are on the higher side for the portion sizes. Additionally, the place tends to get very loud and crowded, making it hard to enjoy a peaceful meal. Worth a visit for the food, but be prepared for the atmosphere!

Omg!!! People are sleeping on this restaurant. If you want to be transported back home instantly as the first morsel hits your tongue. This place is itt!! Ordered masala dosa, Chennai wedding biryani, chilli chicken. Masala dosa- masala was so flavorful, dosa perfectly made and that SAMBAR home made like your mama made it. Hands down the best biryani I have had in all of Dallas. And the bagara baingan like whaaat even restaurants in India don't serve it. I am in love with this place now amd forever..A big Thank you to their chef ❤️❤️❤️

We went there as a 3 family group and had different varieties of dinner items that includes biriyani, masala dosa, kothu porotta, egg kuruma and porotta, tea.
Food :
Overall, food wise I feel like all of them are more tamilish in nature. (The shop name shows that though) People from other states may feel like they are eating a different continental dish..
Maybe I am wrong, it's up to the individuals. But we used to go to Hyderabadi restaurants, Nepali restaurants and Kerala restaurants and from all of them we feel like we had authentic Indian food.
Service:
Service is kind of self service. We order the food first and pay it from the counter. Wait for the food. After sometimes, they will call for the food, but don't expect you get everything in that. You have to wait more time if you want to get all of them in your order, which is horrible from eater perspective..

I absolutely hate this place. Food was bland and after being filled with excitement from the other reviews, I felt terrible after I left. I would most definitely say that the best part was leaving.

The idly here are incredibly soft and tasty—absolutely perfect! The chicken curry and parota are also a must-try, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The prices are very affordable, and the food is consistently delicious. Highly recommend this spot for a satisfying meal!
