I cannot put into words the experience and most delicious traditional Mexican cuisine my sister and I had with the Captians of Mesa Mayo. The food that was sent out was a magical expression of what Mexican cuisine stands for, along with an attention to detail that captivates every thing that the Mexican culture truly represents. Our Manager on duty Angel showed exceptional hospitality that welcomed my sister and I into a place of profound perfection and comfort, Benavides. Carlos, the bartender championed your finest of all bar keeps, making a happy hour margarita, or six between us, taste as if we had been transported to a Mayan table set for the Gods. I had the carnitas rellenos that was a party of flavors that challenged the finest of all traditions that the Central American people have to offer, taking a simple taste of the green chile to the higher end of all things culinary causing me to finish my plate as if I would never eat again. The Pollo Budin ordered by mi armana, had a chile verde flavor that was out of this world. Having this rich and tangy salsa verde smothered over in house made corn tortillas will deepen your love for the craft of ground corn. If you are not dining here on a weekly basis or making this a staple of your diatery preference, then you are simply doing yourself a disservice and mi corazon cries for your incompetence. This is a must have and I guarantee you that you will leave more than satisfied and it will be the epitome of your suenos de comida every time you make this your culinary destination.
