Modern Market Eatery

We were looking for a relatively healthier option to eat out and Modern Market Eatery fit that bill to a tee! We got the Green goddess shrimp, the Blackened Chicken salad and a Margherita Pizza for the kids. The food tasted really good, it’s not a 5 because the Shrimp was too salty but otherwise we really enjoyed our meal. Service was also a bit lacking with them being understaffed, but hopefully that’s just a one-off.

Took 15 minutes to get a simple sandwich out. And they weren't busy. And $15 for a crummy dry sandwich! They should be ashamed to put such spring mix out! See pic. Wouldn't waste my $$ or time again! Should have gone across the street to Snappy Salads ?.... .

This place has horrible customer service every time I come here. They do not speak or acknowledge their customers and they always act as if they are “overwhelmingly busy” when there is no one in the establishment. There should not be a 20 min for a order that was placed in advance for a bowl of meat and grass bro. Get more efficient employees .

I order same dish the lemongrass Tuna every time for delivery many times..there are 8 out of 10 times my dish were missing ingredients. I had to call the store several times to express my frustration! Today I ordered it again, paid extra to add the toasted peanuts and beets. When my order arrived. I opened it, there were NO peanuts in it at all! Plus, barely any aioli/sauce! I had to use a fork to make sure if it hidden under somewhere. I am so DONE with this restaurant now!

This place was excellent! Delicious healthy food in a clean, chill atmosphere. The cashier was very friendly and attentive. My food was prepared quickly and efficiently! The salad with chicken was delicious! Would definitely come back here!

Beautiful place, good food and bad service! They have a lady serving and she is offensively rude and unprofessional. It is unfortunate that these things happen, they are damaging their service because of people like it is. I was waiting for the food for more than 50 minutes, they changed the tickets at convenience, everything was chaos and mistreatment in that place.

I walked in was not greeted at all, I tried to look to see if my mobile order was there and could not see. I was visibly looking for service for 10 minutes before someone came- it took 3 people to find my order and when I got it the lid was off and I received damaged cutlery. Clearly mis managed location.

Ugh, really disappointed. I ordered a $10 blueberry pesto sandwich to-go over the phone. Despite the super nice woman on the phone telling me it would only take 10 minutes, and traffic setting me back about 15, when I arrived I was told that they could not make my order because they were out of the blueberry jam. I guess a team member had run out to grab more, and they asked if I’d be okay with waiting or with having the sandwich without the blueberry jam. Well, the blueberry jam is literally the whole freaking point of the sandwich lol, so I said I was fine with waiting. 20 minutes later I’m told that the team member is still fifteen minutes out with the jam and asked if I want a refund. I navigated through 5’oclock Plano traffic and sat and waited for an additional twenty minutes for absolutely nothing. Based on their reviews, this seems to be a typical take out experience here. They offered me a “do-over” card but I declined; I’m not coming back. So disheartening, as I was looking for more healthy food options in the area. Just another lazy cash grab.

Courtney was extremely kind and attentive towards my order, took some time to chat with me, and made me appreciate the store I was in, as well as the management of Modern Market. Courtney had a swollen ankle and her team was very attentive, making sure she rested it enough and keeping her off it as much as possible. The culture you create with your employees translates to the experience every customer feels

I want to share my experience mostly because of the team member that has helped me almost every time I’ve come in for lunch. Courtney is always very helpful and even makes menu recommendations. She always smiles and has a positive attitude. The food was decent but it doesn’t matter if there aren’t people like her.Thanks Courtney!!

We ordered through DoorDash, worst food ever!!! We ordered the salmon plate and they forgot the salmon. The chicken plate had a tablespoon of dry chicken and the salads weren’t what we ordered. Everything was cold and disgusting. We went back to DoorDash and they refunded half. This was one of my favorite places to order from but after tonight, I will not be ordering from here again. How do you forget the main part of the dish??? I assume since we ordered right before closing that we received left overs. I’m so disappointed.
