This place is incomparable when it comes to flavor of food with other Indian restaurants. The food is always great quality and taste amazing. The desserts are the best. I recommend the sooji halwa or the mango custard.

Excellent North Indian food in entire plano or frisco area. Had been going here with family every month for last 3 years and this place hasn't disappointed yet on the food or the service. You want northindian veg or non veg in this area then this place is the best one u can go for buffet or alacarte ...Owners are nice and good hearted people and you get family feeling interacting with them..always nice.. I believe it's our community responsibility to mk sure this kind of punjabi restaurants keep running and I wl continue my support..Thank you !!!

Excellent Indian food probably the best in plano area.i have been going there since more than 10 years and not disappointed with food and service. Paaji the owner is very nice and will come and talk to you and ask about how food is and everything.

Mumtaz must translate to “mediocre” in English. Everything was just so mundane. So bland. Tried putting salt on didn’t really help. Won’t be back and that’s unfortunate because the older gentlemen who run this establishment seem very nice. I don’t really get how places stay in business like this. There’s no attempt at excellence even.

Ya’ll!! Mumtaz is legit. The lunch buffet is so good & dinner from the menu has so many delicious selections! There is something for everyone (unless you don’t like flavor)…carnivores, omnivores, vegetarians & vegans. I am partial to the mint chutney & palak (goat, beef, lamb, good) & raita. Mumtaz is consistently fantastic & is one of the few spots that didn’t take a dive in quality after COVID ⭐️
As an added perk they play Indian music videos all throughout the day & those are great & entertaining👏🏻

I’ve tried many Indian spots around Plano & Frisco & keep coming back here as my favorite ❤️my husband is vegan & so I’ve tried many of the vegan options as well & they are filling & flavorful. 10/10 would recommend 👍🏻

I recently dined at this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. The food quality was very poor, and I even found hair in my salad, which is completely unacceptable. The menu had very limited options, and the prices were outrageously high, especially considering the subpar service and food. For example, drinks were $4 per glass, which didn't seem justified at all. Overall, it was the worst dining experience I've had, and I definitely do not recommend this place.

I ordered 3 meals and they sent me one rice only and the rude customer service he said that’s our policy don’t order again from us, and he don’t even know the policies after I asked him what’s the policy said, poor restaurant and cold food with rude and nasty people, don’t order at all from that restaurant again

we went for my friend's birthday and the owner was so amazing. he went out of his way to take pictures, arrange the table, and make her birthday special. we didn't even tell him ahead of time.

Ordered from Uber eats it took two hours for my food to get here . I ordered the chicken kadai When it got here there were raw onion and bell pepper in it and the food wasn’t even spicy like I ordered . Will never order again .

Owner of the restaurant is very hospitable. Our group of 6 walked in to the restaurant for a friend's birthday surprise. Food was delightful and delicious and there were also healthy and vegan options. Owner helped us prep the birthday surprise without us notifying them in advance. Overall had a wonderful experience.
