We've been coming here to this location for sometime. Unfortunately this last visit was a little on the not great side. The food is excellent, don't get me wrong. Maybe our server was new but he needs more training to be on the floor on a busy Friday night. He was forgetful and did not come around to check on us and our drinks often enough. I had to flag him down a couple times as my husband just wanted to go get our drinks from the bar. One of the managers came to remove a plate and in his haste to do so, it spilled sauce on mine and my husbands pants, wasn't really happy about that. He brought us napkins and soda water but It would have been nice to compensate the mess with a round of drinks or something. Just felt like it wasn't a big deal to him but it was to me. We were going out after dinner so my pants were stained and wet. I'll chalk this us to just a bad night for the staff but the food is excellent and we will be back. I think we prefer eating at the bar, not the sushi bar as you are very close to the people sitting next to you and it tends to get very loud when the place is packed.
Oishii was amazing as usual. Our server was so attentive and wonderful. Very knowledgeable with suggestions from the menu, too.
The food was great. Some of the best sushi I've had. Service was a little slow. Not because we had a bad server but because it looked like they were understaffed. Our server was all over taking care of tables. He was great but just had too many table.
Absolute nightmare of an experience. I am not normally a Karen type customer either but I have never EVER felt so disregarded as a customer. Yesterday was my daughter's 13th birthday and she requested this sushi for dinner - if not for that I would have just walked out. So - busy day, I put the order for carryout in at 4pm - purposely planning ahead for a 6:15ish pickup. Obviously we had plans which is why I did this preorder pay ahead process. I show up at 6:10 only to find out that they couldn't find my name anywhere. I'm waiting outside because my 10 year old son is in the car. One of the hostesses comes running out gasping that the person in the back lost or forgot the order but don't worry, they're putting a 911 on it and it will be ready fast - I'll just bring it out to your car! Me - great, thank you!
15 minutes go by and nothing so I go in - meanwhile I'm seeing carryouts coming up and going from the front. It's 6:30 when I ask for a manager. He comes over, I explain, and he goes to the kitchen to check. I can see the many many people in the back working. He comes back and apologizes and says it will be ready soon, the hot food is ready but they're just waiting on a couple of rolls (my order was like 4 rolls and 3 hot things).
Many many MANY more carryouts are going out the door - but not mine! Not my 911 order that was supposed to come out pronto. I start getting mad at this point. I would have left if it was any other day but my daughter is expecting her birthday dinner. The manager must have been high on some gummies or something because I have never seen this level of unconcern over this kind of scenario. He couldn't have given less of a F. All he could do was say he was sorry - wasn't trying to do anything to fix the situation, wasn't staying back in the kitchen pressing someone to finish the order, wasn't offering anything extra (nothing extra in the bag when I got home), I had to demand something for this massive screw up and all he could do was blame DoorDash and refund a portion of the order. Nothing extra, nada. I was almost in tears because I felt so mistreated. Even the hostesses were horrified at this point because of how long I was there. It would have been faster if I had just sat at a table and ordered it on the spot.
Guess what time the food was ready? 6:58. That's right - about 50 entire minutes from the time I showed up at the door and they discovered the issue until I walked out with the food - which the hot food was definitely cold and kind of disgusting by the time I got it. Absolutely not even worth the money that I actually ended up paying for it. And I have such a bad taste in my mouth I don't imagine I would ever return. Be warned - if you care about service this is not the place.
Service was very good. Miso good. Sushi rice under seasoned when made either vinegar. Ebi was overdone tough. Tuna was tasty. Salmon was tasty.
Happy hour was wonderful as usual! Enjoyed everything.... Golden rolls and pot stickers and everything else

Restaurantji Recommends
Bartender was exceptional and remembered us from our first visit. (Devin maybe? So sorry that we forgot) He was great with recommendations and even took the time to learn our interests.
The acoustics in the restaurant are tooooo loud. Everything else was good. I would only order online and pickup ceviche was superb..... Service was superb.

We eat here-often, but we were so disappointed this evening. We where celebrating our birthday and we ask for a booth and ask if it could be off to the side a bit more quite. The person at the front seating the tables was very rude with our request and when I ask to sit a certain place he said no that a 4 top would be sitting there later. He sat us at a table right in the middle of everything. While we sat and ate, he sat a two top at the exact table we requested. He was arrogant and rude and during the time we sat eating our dinner there were many booths that sat 4 that had no one sitting at them. It would not of been hard for him to be kind and given us the table we ask for. I was looking forward to having dinner with my husband for our birthday and I was the one who wanted to go to Oishii. My bad. Our waiter on the other hand was great very kind and efficient . That was a good thing and the food was fantastic as usual! It is funny how one bad apple can ruin the whole experience. Oh well I guess I won’t ever go to Oishii for a birthday. So disappointed. To the manager, you really should make sure your employees don’t treat your customers this way.

Two hours. TWO HOURS. For four sushi rolls. And before you say, “Well, maybe it was packed,” — no, it wasn’t. Half empty. Maybe they were out back catching the fish themselves.
And just when I thought the show was over, our waiter decides to stand right in front of us while we’re tipping — like some sort of human guilt trip. Newsflash, mate: hovering doesn’t make the service better, it just makes it awkward.
Next time your staff tries to intimidate us into tipping, I’ll save everyone the trouble and leave nothing. This time we left $5 — just to make a point on a $100!
Two hours, four rolls, one uncomfortable stare. Bravo. We had a flight to catch! Thanks!
