Excellent half chicken dish
We stopped by here as we were in town for a sports tournament. My kid likes pizza, so this was an easy choice. The host asked if this was our first time and I told him it was. He was really friendly with our short conversation. Our waitress, Erica, was super friendly and explained how they made their pizza and gave good recommendations. We went with a Caesar salad to split, my 10yo got the kids pepperoni, and I got the Margherita pizza. We also got the dips with our pizza. Our waitress really hyped up the goat cheese dip and let me tell you, I really hate goat cheese, but I tried it anyway. All of the dips were delicious, but the goat cheese fondue was my favorite! It was very creamy and subtle, but I really loved it on my pizza. We had a great experience and my kiddo also loved it.

I wish I could give Patrick more than 5 stars-the most amazing server! Food was so delicious! Patrick had great recommendations, was over the top incredible, and I’d go over and over just for him! But the food was perfection too❤️

REALLY ENJOYABLE MEAL…
Here is what we liked most, great food, cloth napkins, big and plenty ice cubes, nice glassware, cracked pepper, good service and engaged management.
Pie Tap has been in Plano for quite a while, but we had never stopped in. Ends up it was us who were missing out.
We ordered a Cesar salad that was very fresh and flavorful, with a healthy serving if homemade dressing and large shaved slices of parm cheese. We also ordered a Mediterranean salad which is sliced heirloom, tomatoes, green and black olives, cucumbers, and onions. It’s also served with a delicious sourdough pita and a nice serving of hummus. But the best of our orders was the Crazy Linguini, which was crazy good. This is highly recommended! Then finally, we all shared a pepperoni pizza which was made with their famous sourdough bread rolled thin. It came out warm and crispy. And we all grabbed for a fresh hot piece.
This is exactly why you want to try new restaurants. Now we have another favorite place we can count of for a great meal and relaxed environment.
Try It, you’ll love it!

Patrick was a phenomenal server! He provided excellent service, suggestively offering us his personal favorites while discussing the meaning behind Pie Taps name. Thank you Patrick! The manager on duty was also amazing.

Came to Pie Tap to get a hearty pasta and meat sauce meal. The atmosphere was nice. The server was very pleasant. When I received my plate, I was puzzled. The amount of pasta and meat sauce in a big bowel looked like the amount served as an appetizer. I started eating. The food was bland; missing a lot of spices. I finished, but I was still hungry. I’m a slim woman and it doesn’t take much to fill my stomach. Paid $21.95 for an appetizer.
I could have eaten at Campisi’s across the street a second time this month. My meal would have been twice the amount, the food would have been much tastier, and the price would be $16.97.
I said to myself, “ I’ve eaten at Pie Tap twice, the first time and the last time “.
If you wish to eat at Pie Tap, be sure to eat your main course at home, because you will only get appetizer at Pie Tap.
