The place was warm, plus everyone was sweet and welcoming. We ordered salt pepper squid, xiao long bao, pork rib, buns, and a few other dishes, all were great. They also gave us chamomile tea that smelled and tatsted goooood!!!

Be extremely careful dining here, especially with large groups.
Royal Kitchen uses misleading and deceptive billing practices, and I am extremely upset about this experience.
When it was time to pay, no itemized receipt was provided, only a tablet showing a total, making it impossible to verify charges with a large order. An automatic gratuity was added without disclosure, and the payment screen then prompted customers to add another 18%or 20%or even higher, which is highly misleading and risks double tipping. This setup appears intentional and designed to overcharge customers.
I will be escalating this matter to consumer protection authorities to prevent this from happening to others. Others should be warned. Demand a written receipt or avoid this place altogether.

Royal Kitchen has become our favored restaurant for a number of occasions. Their Peking Duck is the best we have found in this country. Avoiding the excess fat and beautiful table-side carving are consistent characteristics. The owner/manager is very friendly and does everything possible to make every aspect perfect, including not charging for a mis-communicated order. All dishes are authentic and well presented. The atmosphere is quite comfortable and pleasant without undue extravagance. The restaurant is in an area of many good Chinese restaurants, but this one rises above the others, based on our experiences there. For those who remember the excellent Peking Duck at the former Mr. Wok that burned down a few years ago, I can say that this is even better.

Good lunch special! Food was authentic and flavorful.
I was only bummed they did not have Vegetable Egg rollls(it’s different than spring rolls wrapping)
Overall great lunch experience and we will come back.

I love this place so much! We always go here for their duck, it's AMAZING! I do recommend calling ahead to let them know you want the duck. Most of the time it's not necessary but you'll be grateful you did if they're ever busy.

Place was decently empty when I went, and the service was very fast. I don't like how the menu is on an iPad, it doesn't list the ingredients in each dish which makes it difficult to know what some of them will be. The food was fine, but I don't feel strongly positive about it. I wouldn't turn it down but I have other places I prefer. I don't really like the lighting and atmosphere inside either.
If you want an authentic Peking duck

Terrible first impression. As soon as we got sat, we asked to order the Peking duck in which we were told by the server they did not have any today. Upon hearing this, we were getting ready to leave when she then said “actually let me check but if we do have it it’ll be a 30 min to 2 hour wait”… so do you have the duck or not?? She said online it says you must preorder or reserve the duck to order it dine in, but I don’t see anything about pre ordering except for the online to go order. We ended up leaving. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great food and service! Be sure to make reservations if you want duck. Very friendly, food came out fast. Probably the best Peking duck in dfw right now.

The great Christmas Peking Duck hunt ended with Royal Kitchen saving the day!
I just wanted to give Royal Kitchen a huge shout out for saving our Christmas dinner day. Note: we've eaten here at least 3 times in the past.
My wife and I fell ill over the holidays and we were both lethargic about cooking on Christmas day. We both love Peking duck and so I drove from our home to Plano while calling various places in Plano who I knew had duck. Some places were too busy or didn't do take out duck, but Royal Kitchen did so I placed an order. The nice lady on the phone said that the kitchen is closed for lunch, but she could ask the chef for a favor and as long as I could make it by 4PM, they'd do it. So we agreed and I got there 3:57PM. As promised, my order was ready and I gave them 25% for the courtesy.
Needless to say, my wife was so happy after she woke up to smell their delicious Peking duck in the house :) It was of course delicious and forgot to mention that they included the thin pancakes, scallions, and plum sauce. Forgot to take pictures as we dove right in. They also provided the stripped duck carcass so we could make soup (we haven't just yet).
THANK YOU SO MUCH, Royal Kitchen. We appreciate you and your staff for saving our Christmas dinner :)

This is a true Beijing roast duck/peking duck! Most places take shortcuts to get that crispy duck skin (like frying it), but Royal Kitchen does it the proper way that takes a longer time! It just doesn’t taste right unless it’s the authentic way. So call ahead at least a day to reserve your duck. The wrappers they serve with the duck are delicious too! I’ve never had them so thin. We got the duck soup add-on, and I think it’s the best I’ve had. So light and somehow still so flavorful… perfect to help with digestion!
My husband and I came with his parents in November, and the owners came out and chatted with us. They’re so kind and enthusiastic about their authentic Beijing cuisine! Pretty much everything we had here was amazing, including the lobster fried rice (subbed for the crab fried rice since we didn’t call ahead). I wish we lived closer, but we will absolutely be coming here any time we visit. We used to live in NYC (we’re also Chinese American), and I’d say the food here is on par with some of the best Chinese restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

We came in and ended up being told that many dishes were not avaliable and they can't help. The server told us she would put in the order for us directly and after some time it was clear she forgot. By this time other tables after us were filled and we never saw her again until I tracked her down to pay.
Food wise we got the chili wantons and the soup dumplings. Average at best, the chili wantons tasted like they came out of a frozen dumplings box and the soup dumplings were small and half of them had no soup (or were broken)
Will not come back
