I like this place. I love their pad kee mao. But sometimes noodles get sticky.

This place has gone down hill. Used to be the best Thai restaurant in Plano. I ordered the noodles and green curry. The noodles were so salty and broken in tiny pieces, almost like a paste. The green curry was salty too, not too bad but not good either. Sad to see this.

This place is amazing and always consistent. We've tried many, many Thai places around the metroplex and in Thailand and Ruang is by far one of the best!

First time here for lunch with my sister and niece. We were hungry from marathon shopping and decided we needed some Thai food. The service was great and they were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. The restaurant is small and cozy. The menu has a huge variety of dishes although many of them are quite similar. Our food was served quickly and came out nice and hot. The food itself, however, was pretty bland and lacked much of a flavor profile. I was surprised by this. My sister liked her food (shrimp) but said that the shrimp was a little overcooked. She loved her Thai Tea! My niece who is vegan enjoyed her vegetables, rice and tofu. I had the beef, vegetables and rice and was just not impressed. It was bland, the beef was tough and the veggies needed more cooking time. Rice was okay. I felt the prices were too high for what we got. If the food had been excellent, I would have been okay with the high prices. I still feel like this was a decent 4 star overall experience based on the nice people who work there and the excellent service we received.Dietary restrictions: Nice vegan options.

What attracted our visit was a high 4.7 review rating. This establishment is dedicated to celebrating Christmas, starting with Christmas trees and ongoing Christmas music fom Halloween on!Tea is a standard beverage in Thai cuisine, and for $4 you get a tea bag with medium hot water at Ruang. I had expected, for the price, a fully brewed put, with unlimited refills. As soon as we had ordered the tea, the owner comes to our table to force our hand to buy a different teabag variety, this one for $6! She insisted we switch. We didn't.The food was flavorful, but higher priced than expected given the quantity. After leaving, our party of 3 gave it a ?and had to visit another restaurant to complete the dinner. Getting a paid receipt with the restaurant's name on it was impossible. This was a first and last visit.

Loved the authenticity of this place, the customer service, and of course the food. I started this review a year ago after visiting Ruang Thai while visiting family in Texas. We went with a large crew and they were extremely accommodating to arrange seating for us. The food came out very quickly, and very fresh. I was initially a bit concerned about the prices, but after seeing the food I no longer had any concern. Someone else in the reviews mentioned unassuming, and that was very accurate, the food is beyond what you expect. They are also very clean, even have the silverware and napkins in ziplock baggies. I'm finally finishing this review because I was just back there again, a year later, and it's still everything I remembered. This is now on my list of must places to eat whenever I come to Dallas.
