Zero taste. Very pricy. I asked the server that there is no taste and he just reheated the dish and served. No change im taste at all. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone atleast not in USA…

We visited Sankalp Restaurant on December 25 & finally got a chance to try their food. We ordered Hakka noodles & they were absolutely up to our expectations, very tasty, freshly made and served quickly.
The place was lively, with many people coming in to pick up food for parties and get-togethers, which itself says a lot about the quality. The staff was very welcoming and the overall experience was pleasant.
Delicious food, great taste, and quick service. Definitely worth trying whenever you get a chance!😋

For the price charged quality of food sucks. We ordered paneer dishes that barely had paneer pieces in them.

We enjoyed the food and our server Aman was extremely nice. We had a large order and needed it in phases, we were highly impressed with Aman’s attention to detail and how he got all of our request perfectly! Thank you for a great experience!
Updated review: visited again in Dec 2025
We went back to this place after about 2yrs! A few things have changed! Overall the food tasted pretty good for most part but service now has gone down a slight bit and prices are more than some other restaurants in sit down but not fancy restaurant category! We ordered
1) paneer tiranga for appetizer - the panner pieces were good size and came on a sizzler plate with good presentation, but lacked kick of flavor.. wouldn’t order that again for $15/$16 for 6 pieces.
2) plain dosa (be aware that they charge u for masala regardless if u want it or not), which came with the tomato and coconut chatney. I had to ask for the powder with oil/ghee chatney - which they brought but without the oil/ghee and had to ask for it again
3) we ordered a dal Bukhara (comes with some complimentary rice and a bit of sliced onion) which instantly won our hearts with their garlic naans ($10 for two naans)

Had a decent dining experience here. Ordered the Hara bhara kebab , which were amazing ! But the Kaju Curry was literally drenched in oil. It had so much oil that we filled an entire katori of oil with it. But overall service was nice and quick, menu is huge and full of variety. I would come back to try some more dishes

What happened to Sankalp? Ownership changed? Chef changed? Cost cutting?
The food was awful tonight. We got veg diwani handi, dal, podi dosa. The food quality has gotten worse.. sadness!! This used to be a go-to weeknight dinner place for us!
Definitely one of my favorite Indian restaurants in DFW. Their dosa and curries are excellent. I do both delivery and dine in. I love the unlimited chutney and sambar when you dine in :)

We ordered the cheesy garlic dosa and chole bhature, both of which were absolutely delicious. The food quality was top-notch, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended—definitely worth a try!
Update: After 8months we visited the restaurant again with same hope yesterday but It was completely opposite this time. I don't know what changed but it's not worth spending here. Food was not flavourful at all.
We ordered samosa chat, rava dosa , panipuri, chole batture & Lamb biryani ( I don't understand why this was sweet) which is a big turn off.
No, we are not visiting this restaurant again ever in life!
Restrooms were dirty too!

Restaurantji Recommends
Went here last night because I was craving some dosa. I ordered a paneer frankie to share and it had a ton of different flavors but I couldn’t even tell any of them. Super overwhelming and didn’t even taste like paneer tikka. The masala dosa also had some sort of garlic spread on the inside of the dosa and it ruined it. The dosa was not crispy at all and the garlic spread made it worse. I ate maybe 1/4.

I had a very disappointing experience at Sankalp.
• There was a fly in the glass that was served to us. When we asked to change it, the replacement glass came back even dirtier.
• We had to wait far too long before anyone came to take our order.
• When we asked for just 2 minutes to decide, the server never came back.
• After all this, we couldn’t even place an order and ended up leaving.
What made it worse is that there was no reaction from the management — no apology, no concern, nothing.
Overall, the service was careless, unhygienic, and completely unprofessiona
