Place has went downhill over the years and the staff is ripping off the customers. Their menu and what they charge you at the counter don't add up. The staff is pretty much ripping off the owner every chance they get (you can see what they did on the Chicken Finger order).

The regular meal for my wife and I of 2 burgers with a small coke and fries was $42.00 (that is with no alcohol on the tab).

If you want to spend this amount on a burger, try JC Burgers or Kenny's Burgers.

Well we went in to have a burger and got up to order and were told "we close in 15 minutes and it takes 10 to cook your burgers" and it sounded a lot like "get out". So we left. There is a burger place on every corner of Plano. I won't be back. They are rude and I won't be back. All their hourly employees care about is getting off work.

This place markets itself as a "from scratch" burger spot, but it’s hard to tell how much of that is real versus just branding. Some ingredients may be made from scratch, but it’s not obvious. And when it comes to a burger place, the focus should always be on the burger itself.

The Good:
- The ratios were well-balanced. Nothing overwhelmed the other ingredients.
- The ingredients were fresh.
- The bun was toasted with the flavor of butter, which added a nice touch.
- The fries were fresh and crispy, though they could have used more salt.
- Portion size was solid—felt like a full meal.

The Not-So-Good:
- The burger patty was a letdown. While it had a nice chargrilled flavor, the meat itself was too dry. It was hard to tell if it was a fresh patty that had been overcooked or a frozen one that got hit with too much heat. Either way, the execution wasn’t there.
- For $14 without a drink, the quality should be better.

Final Thoughts:
Maybe it was an off day. But for a place that specializes in burgers and has been around a while, you’d expect them to nail the basics—especially the meat.

Visited at off-peak hour, with very little activity in the kitchen. Plenty of time to focus on doing things correctly.

If they get that right, this could be a much better experience.

In Houston Texas, there was a place called Baba Yega, they made a chili burger that was amazing. I drove 20 miles in Houston traffic for the burger. Then, they took it off the menu. I have been looking for this burger for 20 years. I have found kinda close, but nothing like it. Until today. I've lived in Plano now for 8 years and am just finding this burger, as i'm about to move away....Scotty P's will need to open a new location.

I am not a beef eater so to find a place with a delicious alternative is always a win for me! Their Impossible Burger is amazing. Their fried pickles are some of the best I've had, and there's few that compare to their homemade ranch. Everything always tastes fresh and is served hot. Definitely recommend!

Update: I just came back to Scotty P's off Custer and got myself a pick up order. I ordered the double cheese burger, kids burger and chicken sliders. Everything was fresh and hot . The chicken sliders have got to be the best chicken sliders I ever had, which came with coleslaw. I am definitely coming back for that. Great professional and kind customer service as well. Thank you!

I came back to Scotty P's after a long time. The burgers were ok, I remember they were better at the Frisco location a few years ago.

Great salads, soups, burgers and fries. Eat here 3 times a week. Try greek salad with fried egg on top. Fried pickles great. Steak soup very good, but only served Thursday and Friday.

Dietary restrictions: No butter or Mayo on 1 of the burgers.

Parking: I was a little surprised at the extra charge for fresh jalapeños. The way the menu is listed wasn't clear regarding the extra charges for various non-meat toppings. I did pay extra for it. I also paid for bacon, but the small portion size did not match the price.
