Everything was wonderful. Except for these 2 things.
The server dumped the meat we ordered straight on the grill before we could stop them??? We wanted to cook it later after our hotpot too… half the joy is cooking our own meat so idk just not cool:(
The Monday special stated $4 off any sake. I got hot sake, and as we are paying I find out it doesn’t apply to the hot sake. I wish we had known??? Or that it was stated on the menu at all. I assumed “any” meant “any”…
Note: our server was super attentive and lovely, so I do not blame them at all, just that I wish these things were different regarding my experience with the restaurant’s practices.

This is the third time we've tried to eat here when we've come into town from out of state, and unfortunately since they do not take reservations, we have never been able to get a table. Each time we've tried we've been quoted a 2 hour + wait time. The first time we waited well over 2 hours and never got a table. I realize this isn't the restaurant's fault because they can't control how long people sit at the tables, but it's just unfortunate because we have always really wanted to try it.
Seapot Korean BBQ and Hotpot offers a fun and interactive dining experience, combining the best of both worlds—grilling meats and simmering hotpot. The variety of ingredients available was impressive, with fresh vegetables, quality meats, and flavorful broths to choose from. Everything was well-stocked, and the self-serve setup made it easy to customize the meal exactly how I wanted.
The service was decent. While the staff was friendly and generally helpful, they weren’t always as attentive as I would have liked.
One of the standout aspects of the meal was the ice cream. It was a great way to finish off the dining experience, offering a nice variety of flavors. It’s a small detail, but it really added to the overall enjoyment.
The atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant had a clean and modern setup, making it a good place for group gatherings. While there’s room for slight improvements in service, I still had a great time and would definitely come back. If you’re looking for a fun Korean BBQ and hotpot experience, Seapot is worth trying!

The smell of oil smoke in the restaurant is too strong and the exhaust effect is not very good. There are many types of food, but the quality and taste of meat and seafood are average. The taste of the soup base comes from the seasonings. I felt thirsty all day after eating it. One person, one pot is attractive to foreigners who like to share meals, but for Chinese people, the taste is too ordinary, the air quality during the meal is too bad, and the whole body is smelled of oily smoke after eating, which is very prohibitive. (I would like to give a suggestion, the manager should not let the waiter urge the guests to finish their meal and leave quickly. After all, we are dining normally and we do not eat a lot and sit for a long time. It is the first time in Dallas that we are treated like this when eating in a restaurant. It feels very bad.)

The place BS they’re being unreasonable because of my service dog they told us we need to wait longer. They’re being prejudiced and unprofessional people. I don’t recommend it to anyone that have service animals.

Don’t come here between 2:30-3:30pm. There is a shift change or menu change that causes a terrible wait time. Party of 2 and we waited for 45 minutes. We got up and left. Regardless of menu change or shift change management needs to have a better flow and a better way to handle this because that was just ridiculous. Super disappointing because I came all the way from downtown Dallas to this location.
$30 for hot pot or Korean BBQ. $35 for both. Everyone at the table must have the same choice. The both deal is best.
They bring out the meats but the shrimp and seafood comes randomly on a conveyor.
Unlike some conveyor places, there is no sushi here.
Dessert is limited to gel stuff.
Music is loud kpop. The atmosphere is vibrant and modern but it's hard to have a conversation.
Servers are very fast and efficient.

It's very busy on weekends and sometimes you have to wait for a table. I love the snow crab legs. But sometimes the crabs on the conveyor belt are not very fresh.

Terrible service and subpar food. Waiter was extremely rude, I was given the wrong hot pot base and he wasn’t pleased that I asked for a replacement base. The manager on duty was confused about our complaints regarding the service and wasn’t concerned that this was our first time and we weren’t impressed. Low quality meats and everything was extremely salty.

It took a long time for the soup to boil. The food was not fresh, the seafood was of limited variety and below average quality, and I felt uncomfortable after eating a little. There was no exhaust system for the BBQ, so I couldn't breathe and was covered in greasy smoke when the table next to me was having BBQ. I had to leave early.
