Salad bar looked days and days old. Tasted terrible. Didn't eat at all. Switched to other non salad bar items. Potato was rock hard. Taco shells like rubber. Nacho cheese runny. Strawberries frozen solid. Flies on fruit which were whole ugly tasteless red apples. Pizza - not sure what to say. Not pizza. I think it was cheese on a very thin tortilla. I've never been a fan but the kids and hubs always liked it. Until now. You know it's bad when 9 and 13 yr old boys won't come back.

Salad bar is good, soups meh, breads and pizzas not fresh. Ice cream machine is always broken? Haven't seen it work in years. upcharged to get 32 oz to go drink and brought a 16oz to go and told they don't have big cups anymore but they had them a couple days ago, I would have save the upcharge if they had been honest about it upfront. No notice up front about the ice cream machine either. As it was a bit slow they also decided to close almost an hour early and turned they folks who came in away even though all food was still out and had not been pulled? Just odd way to operate a business if you want to stay in business.

The care and attention provided to the overall operation of this Souper! Salad! is worthy of being noticed and commended. This is especially unusual considering the shortage of workers that the United States is facing. It is obvious that the manager and staff are professionals who know what it takes to run a successful restaurant business. It is getting more challenging for customers to experience adequate customer service these days. The experience at this Souper! Salad! (1017 N. Central Expy, Plano, TX) was a breath of fresh air. Thank you!

My fav thing the gingerbread was burnt but they made some fresh ones for me. Tea had peach flavor so no reg sweet tea. No ham for the salads. Barely any chips for nachos. We're out of baked potatoes. Didn't have taco shells or barely any meat. Overall I would have gotten more for my buck at Golden corral. 10.99 for a buffet with barely anything to eat is way too expensive

Holy heck! This place has gone downhill. The ONLY great thing about this place was the guy who was running the floor/register. Super great service, thank you. However, the food quality is terrible. The lettuce leaves are wilted, the taco meat smells and tastes like canned dog food (don't ask), the soups are marginal and some plasticy tasting and the pizza looks and tastes like a pig skin flap. The only thing that was decent was the baked potato, but I'm convinced that's because their chefs don't have access to the inside of them. People, please....friends don't let friends drive to Souper Salad. Be a true friend.

[4/8/2022][$11] The last remaining Souper Salad in DFW. This restaurant chain used to be very popular. I remember people used to line up for this restaurant at the Oak Lawn location. Now, not so much because it is gone; This Plano restaurant hasn’t evolved with the time, and it is less than what it used to be. Dark brown taco cheese and taco meat were spoiled. :-(. The restaurant has one person manning the whole restaurant floor on Friday night. The restaurant is clean.I wanted this review to be better but I have to be objective as possible. You are better off going to Jason’s Deli.

This place is good as usual. Been a long time since we've been there, seeing as how we live 75 miles away and only get to eat here once in a while when we travel for the doctors. This time we came in just as they opened at 11 and there card machine wasn't working but they told us to go ahead and go eat and make ourselves at home while they got it figured out. Someone showed up to fix it and it was working by the time we were ready to leave. The gentleman who works there, named Curtis is sooo kind and helpful, very friendly and pays close attention to the customers, notices your drink getting low before you even do and brings you a new one. He makes sure to check up on everyone without making them feel uncomfortable or bothering anyone too much. Hope he's there next time we get to visit too. It's very rare to see someone so personal and attentive nowadays who cares about quality service.

Use to love this place when we had one in Arlington. I was in Plano so we stopped by. Service was outstanding and prompt. Food was fresh and delicious. Location was clean and very well maintained. Can't wait to go back again.

Everything is broken no more of so many items yet no less money I think it was horrible and expensive

Hidden gem, fresh salad and clean bar, homey and cozy, family friendly, love the vinegary mushrooms and okra, you know it’s a good place when people come and eat by themselves to thoroughly enjoy all the yummy soup and salad and read books and newspaper and just relax. Super friendly service and environment. Wish there were more locations. Did I say, it was clean? Super clean

I visited this place for the first time not realizing that it was buffet-style. If you get the buffet, it looked like that had options other than soup and salad like pizza. If you take something to go, chose between soup or salad or both.I was actually very pleasantly surprised at their caesar salad! It was good! I'm not really a salad person and I pretty much at this meatless salad as my main course. I had some soup too that was pretty bland but it wasn't so bad after you added some seasoning salt to it! They had some breads too. Apparently they've been out of breadsticks because of covid delivery issues but they had cornbread, ginger bread and blueberry bread. I had the ginger bread and cornbread. The cornbread was alright and the ginger bread was really good! It wasn't quite sweet like a cake but it was too sweet to really eat with the soup or salad. I ate it separately almost like a dessert. Overall very good and good prices. They only thing that might deter people from going is the fact that it's buffet style. I'd definitely go again just for the salad and ginger bread.

My family visited Souper Salads on a busy Sunday afternoon and were well served and entertained at the same time. Jason was handling the entire floor by himself and quickly darted around the room, refilling drinks, gathering used dishes, joking with patrons, AND greeting guests at the register. He was super efficient and friendly, never once looking rushed or discouraged. The food was delicious, but Jason was the star that afternoon.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is fresh and tasty. Jason was there during my last visit and he deserves a huge shoutout. He made the best Arnold Palmer I’ve had to date and I’ve been drinking them for over a decade. That man is on his P’s and Q’s.

Not fancy, but there aren't many all you can eat salad bars left. I should know the guys name who's always waiting tables when I come in - he is the cashier and the only person on the floor. He takes better care of you than a lot of full service places would.
