Sushi shack is the classic all you can eat sushi experience, with a generous list of included sushi rolls, made right when you order them.Having been here a few times, I can say that the sushi and tempura is excellent. Dinner is $25 a person, and if you were to go to nearly any sushi restaurant, you'd likely spend more on just two or three rolls, making it an amazing value. You also get soup, salad, and edamame. However, there are some downsides. The service on all of my visits has ranged from disinterested neglect to outright rudeness. On one occasion in December of 2023, coming with a group of six, we entered the restaurant and found only two tables occupied. We waited for a server. We asked the chef to to get her. Minutes passed, and eventually she came out and said she would be with us soon. She spoke harshly, and kept us waiting even longer, like customers were an inconvenience. I had a similar experience in April of 2024. This wasn't an outlier, but rather the usual service experience. Dealing with the service is the true price one pays for eating here. They also have a policy of charging 70 cents per uneaten piece of sushi. This is a reasonable way to discourage wasteful orders, but the way this is presented repeatedly, and the waitress reminds customers with every order feels excessive. Perhaps they just want to avoid the outrage a customer would express if such a policy was enforced unexpectedly.Despite the consistently mediocre service and the irritating waste prevention measures, the sushi is so delicious and the value is so good that I recommend it.But I far prefer the food, service, and experience at Tokyo One, which - for a couple of dollars more - has tons more options, and considerably better staff.Overall, Sushi Shack is very good. Not as amazing as Tokyo One, but definitely worth trying.

Hahaha, so we get there, and I'm looking at the menu. We wanted all you can eat but haven't been there before so I start to look at the menu. The waitress comes and takes the menu out of my hand. LORD HELP ME! We just got up and left.Oh! And they asked as we were sitting down if we wanted something to drink but there was no drink menu...It's so disappointing because we drove from Dallas to try it. I will update this review if I decide to ever come back.

Racist. Make us wait extended time to be seated. We the sat 15 mins and no one took our order. Waitress came over not to take the order but rudely push our table over to make room for a Caucasian family. I’m not exaggerating she literally shoved our table as we sat there. Please don’t spend your black dollars at this racist facility. Me and my mom simply got up and left. Extremely disrespectful and rude people. I can’t rate the food. I wish I could 0 start them.

If your complexion is milky, you get your name remembered and all kinds of friendly conversation and banter. Otherwise, you get ignored, treated like a bother and generally made to feel like you should take your business elsewhere. After many visits, I will be doing that. Food is not bad, it’s the female wait staff.

The my food tastes like it was out all day the fish was mushy and not in the fishy way, it felt like it was thrown in a food processer and gelatin was added, it was also warm. It tasted like I was eating sticks of butter and grease, the miso soup had a HUGE smokey taste to it and not in the delicious Texas smoked way. The woman was rude, she gave us weird looks and rushed us. The inside of the restaurant is so unbearably HOT, I was sweating so much. I paid $40 just to quench a craving and ended up sick and throwing up. I would get a refund if I could. KROGER SUSHI IS BETTER!!!

Went for the first time last weekend and it was a great experience. Plenty of rolls to select from, the miso soup was good and the staff that attended us had a great personality and sense of humor. The rolls themselves were very unique and flavorful and I will be returning again. The price is one you can't beat, it's wonderful when an establishment can delivery great food at a great value and this restaurant executes that!

While dining at the restaurant, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience. The ambiance was not conducive to a pleasant meal, and there was a noticeable odor in the establishment. Unfortunately, the servers' approach left much to be desired. As patrons participating in the all-you-can-eat sushi option, we found their service to be somewhat aggressive. Cups were taken from our table without proper communication, creating an unwarranted sense of haste. Moreover, the quality of the sushi was subpar. The portions were disproportionately filled with rice, adhering to the plate and overshadowing the limited amount of fish. The taste did not meet our expectations, considering the substantial cost of $150.00. The experience left us feeling dissatisfied, akin to feeling misled. As we contemplated leaving after only our second round of sushi, we observed a deliberate effort to extend the dining time through excessive rice portions, potentially encouraging patrons to order more and incur additional charges. The server's inquiry about a third round, accompanied by laughter, further detracted from the overall professionalism. It is noteworthy that an automatic gratuity fee was applied, a practice that, given the circumstances, left us questioning its appropriateness. Regrettably, this experience falls short of expectations, and I would caution others against choosing this establishment. There are numerous all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants offering superior quality at more reasonable prices.

"I had a disappointing experience, The food was decent, but the service was subpar. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, taking a long time to acknowledge us and even longer to bring our orders. Additionally, when we asked for recommendations, they seemed clueless and unhelpful. Overall, the lackluster service really put a damper on what could have been a great meal."
