This place is a hidden gem, the food is amazing all the rice rolls are great, not a single bad option on their menu for an amazing price. It's not really a sit down place but its great.

Tao in Chinese is rice with the shell on the straw. It is rice before processing. This restaurant match the name of the restaurant. Their specialty is the Taiwanese rice roll. There are many type rice roll they sell. Their menu mainly is Chinese, but I was able to download an English menu. We got three rice roll. We got an eel, Taiwanese salty egg and sausage and one Tao rice roll. Those are delicious choices. I like their rice preparation with right oil and spice. The choice of infill also delicious. We also got a salty soy milk. The soy milk come with fried dough. We also got a specialty herb soup. This soup has blackened chicken, herb, and more. Great to have. If you know how to eat chicken in bone, I recommend this soup. Overall is not much of service, other than order from counter, you just have to wait for the food. But you won't disappointed. Another plus side is affordable.

A great spot for Taiwanese breakfast classics. The food is delicious here, but the service is pretty inefficient, and they run out of things a lot. They have a lot of rice rolls with various filings and purple rice. What's really great is that they have soy milk, herbal soups that are really healthy, and other small dishes. The interior is very small and gets crowded on Saturdays. I would highly, highly recommend calling ahead or ordering online. During busy times, it'll take 45 minutes to get your food. Just plan to wait that long even if you order ahead. Last time I ordered online, I still had to wait 30 minutes in store, and they gave me white rice instead of people rice, which costs extra.

I really enjoyed Tao Rice Roll. We were there twice in our week-long trip to Dallas. Both times we went around 7:30 AM when they first opened to avoid the line. Toward the end of the meal, we did see that the line started to form and the to go order we placed took a bit longer. But for good food, I am very patient lol. Of the two visits (and to go order), we tried 8 of the 13 different rice rolls, sweet soy milk, XLB, fried breadstick, sesame pancake, and double egg pancake. Even then, I wish we could have gone a few more times to try other menu items. What I love about Tao Rice Roll is being able to enjoy these yummy traditional breakfast items and on-the-go rice rolls etc.. in a shop that specializes in making these humble comfort foods. Everything tasted good. It's not a wow meal, but like seeing an old friend in a foreign city kind of feel for me.

Breakfast or brunch choices are the best. My favorite,杂粮煎饼,rice ball with eel or traditional. Must order soy milk. Recently the new menu items are 面线, 肉片. There are limited seats inside, and waiting time is about 5 min. There are many ways to order ahead , i recommend if you pick up , order ahead . Phone or uber eats works ! The floor and table are not the clearest due to too many ppl.Parking: Plenty parking for the area.

The traditional roll didn’t come with the shiitake mushrooms and fried bread. They substituted pork into it. The workers were rude and barely spoke English. It smelled really bad in the shop.

Really delicious and filling rice rolls, only about $5 each! Only thing to note is there was about a 30 min wait when we visited, but if you have the time, it will be well worth it!

We’ve been waiting to try this place for a long time, and finally we made the trip to here for a late lunch. We got egg yolk sausage and their specialty roll, and also a cup of soybean milk with a long Chinese fried donut. Everything tasted great, but felt like the soybean milk could've used some sugar. We are definitely going to come back to try different things on the menu.

The rice rolls were really my cup of tea! We had a sweet roll, Taiwan roll and a Tao roll. The Taiwan roll was my favorite. They put a good amount of the salted egg yolk in it and their pork floss is different from the ones we can get at the store. They also crushed some you tiao and put it in the roll and it gives it a really nice crunchy texture. The Tao roll and sweet roll were good too but not as good as the Taiwan roll. Check this spot out if you're near by!

We've tried both the Eel and Taiwanese rice rolls options, and they're incredibly crispy and delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we've been there twice. During our second visit, we even had it three hours later, and the taste remained delightful. It seems like a great idea for a pack lunch.

Was craving some Taiwanese styled breakfast and decided to try this place. We got the bacon rice roll, beef rice roll, double egg pancake, and sweet soy milk. The food was unique as I've never had rice rolls like this before. It has additional ingredients in there that I'm not used to having. The double egg pancake was good and very flavorful. This place can get busy, but the food is made fresh and comes out pretty quickly.
