Too many little things wrong.

-Reception had a snotty attitude
-Terrible handling of my mom being in a wheelchair
-Chipped water glass
-Lobster tails were like crawfish tails
-Brussels had no bacon
-Corn had no bacon
-Spinach had way too much nutmeg
-Shrimp was low quality
-Little kids running around playing next to my chair. This is not the place for that.

Potatoes, porcini rubbed steak, tenderloin, scallops were all great. Service (Taylor) was fantastic.

But having had a comparison to another high end steak and seafood place just 6 weeks prior, this was blatantly subpar and not worth the cost.

I recently hosted a private party at The Capital Grille, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make every guest feel genuinely special. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made hosting effortless and enjoyable.

What truly set them apart was their flexibility in customizing dishes. Whether it was tailoring entrées to individual preferences, adjusting sides, or creating special variations for our group, the team handled every request with ease and enthusiasm. It’s rare to find a fine dining restaurant that offers this level of personalization while maintaining such high culinary standards.

The ambience was elegant, the food outstanding, and the service absolutely impeccable. Hosting a private event here was a pleasure, and I would highly recommend The Capital Grille to anyone seeking a memorable, guest-focused dining experience. Huge shout out to the Chef, the managing partners and the supporting staff. You guys are amazing

What to say about this fine dining establishment! While in the Dallas area on my birthday we decided to give the Capital Grille a try. Had heard a lot about it and decided to celebrate there. This is a vey upscale white linen establishment. The decor and the dress code speaks to the type of place this is. It was a Saturday night and our reservations were at 8:00 pm. We arrived just before and were greeted and seated within 5 minutes. When you walk in you recognize that the establishment is a cut above most fine dining establishments. The staff from the hostess, to our waiter and the support staff were polite and friendly with an extra touch of attentiveness. Not overbearing but there for your every whim. As busy as they were the Manager stopped by our table to check on us. Lets start with the libations. There wine selection was impeccable, and there drinks were all top shelf. We went full tilt with the menu. Our choice of appetizers was lobster crab cakes which were some of the best I have ever had and I am a seafood connoisseur from way back. The Cesar salad was fresh and seasoned perfectly with fresh parmesan cheese. The dry aged hand carved steaks, (filet and bone in New York Strip) were cooked perfectly. They were tender and had a robust beefy taste. We chose 2 sides of Brussel sprouts and scalloped potato's that were served each is a dish for 2. They were perfect accents to the steaks. When I was not paying attention my wife happened to mention it was my Birthday so when it came time for desert without asking they brough a plate of deserts, (3 Types), that were absolutely delicious. I have dined in steak houses from San Francisco to Chicago, to New York City and all points in between. For the experience and the food I would say that the Capital Grille is up there with the best of the best. Well worth the money and time to experience . Bona Petit

I attended a work dinner party and ordered the pan seared sea scallops with lobster risotto. My risotto was a little gummy and the scallops were all unevenly cooked. We did have a table of 17 people so, maybe it was hard to get everything out perfectly but, one co-worker had to send her dish back and another just didn't eat it because it was so over done. The sides were good and the drinks kept coming but it was exceedingly hot in the room we were in and kept having to open the patio doors.

On November 30, 2025, hubby and I dined at this Capital Grille location for dinner. Jeanie was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing.

I chose the medium rare filet mignon, while hubby opted for the bone-in dry-aged NY strip. We accompanied our main dishes with the lobster bisque, lobster mac and cheese, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. If you read my reviews, you know I ordered my lemon drop martini (strong, not sweet) and they executed this drink order to perfection.

The Happy Hour/Capital Hour is Monday - Friday from 1500-1800, consisting of the following:

Drink specials
A selection of special cocktails are available for $10, including the Classic Margarita, Greyhound Martini, Old Fashioned, Peach Bourbon Smash and Straight Up.

Food specials
Shareable plates ($6-$9):
Sliced Kona-crusted dry aged NY strip
Porcini-rubbed lollipop lamb chops
Oysters casino
Caesar salad bites
Mushroom truffle arancini

Overall, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I plan on returning through the week for Happy Hour.

Filets were cooked perfect. Get the regular filet over the bone in. It was a thicker cut.

This was my first time visiting Capital Grille, even though I had worked for it's parent co.pany in the past. It lived up to my expectations. The service was excellent. From the hostess that sat us to our wonderful server, to the multitude of server assistants that kept water glasses/tea glasses full to quickly removing used plate wear and silverware, they were all great. My sea bass was perfectly done, as was my wife's salmon. I tasted my son's steak and it was perfectly cooked.
So, giving Capital Grille was easily done.

Went there for Thanksgiving lunch. The moment we stepped into the place, I sensed something has changed. The staff were not as friendly as they were before. The managers, whom I have not seen before, walked around in suits without smiles. I could sense my particular waitress did not want to be there on this Thanksgiving day. The turkey plate was overall good. They expect at least 18% tip, as shown on your bill.

It was a night of excellent food, service and celebration. We were celebrating 3 family events and everything was perfect. The manager on duty did a fine job making sure we were taken care of on such a busy night.
