The food is always wonderful. We were sad when the pasteles were removed from their menu, but that's ok as we know how labor intensive they are to make.
Our only concern is the ever increasing prices (refer to the price on the Oxtails). We have been patrons of both this original location since they opened back in 2012 or 2013? and when they had their location in the Colony, we frequented that location as well. The flavor is always on point. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

the only place around you can find an excellent cubano. that melted panini cheese with the roasted pork and ham #noms

The food is always good here. The mofongo chicken was delicious and can never go wrong with the pork.

Tremendously good Cuban food. The cubanos are to die for. My personal favorite are the chicharones y mofongo. I have a Puerto Rican friend that loves the food here as well and vouches for the authenticity.

Not sure if this is the same place we went to years ago….maybe it’s a new owner? Last time it was more full service and clean. Our visit this time was not good. It was more run down and dirty inside. The prices were too high. The food was not good… too salty and quality of the ingredients was poor. I have spent most of my life working in the kitchens of restaurants so I do notice everything. The bread is supposed to be toasted but this was stale and sloppy. The fries were frozen and very salty.

ROPA VIEJA!! A flavorful journey that is sure to ignite those sleeping taste buds. Lewis is running an authentic Cuban inspired restaurant that hits the spot that is no frills and ALL FLAVOR!

When you walk in be sure to seat yourself and use the QR codes at your table to review the menu and even place your order but I love interacting with the staff by placing my order at the counter.

This is our spot for sure and we will be back!

Extremely uncomfortable experience. I was denied restroom access while picking up an Uber Eats order, then met with hostility and attitude during order verification. The treatment felt selective, dismissive, and intentionally unwelcoming.

Professionalism and basic respect were clearly lacking. I would not recommend this place based on how I was treated.

Shifting the blame stating that there was a “hassle” confirming the order is so not true. I would have no reason to create “hassle” to complete an order that was actually my 2 day doing Uber Eats. Confused about the request? Yes! “Hassle” big NO! This man is not friendly.

I've seen a lot good reviews about this place and that's why we decided to stop by. I always try to be fair when I write a review, specially if is a local restaurant. I was expecting more about this place. Maybe it was not the best day to try it.
For me, the prices are high compared to the portions. We ordered a fritanga, thinking it was enough to share with my family and it wasn't. I understand that everything is more expensive now, but I was expecting more in general. But every person is different, maybe for you worth trying.

The Latin Pig is a hidden gem.The home cooked aroma when you first walk in is amazing! I like that plates can be shared. The takeout is just as good as if you were dining in. It’s a great place to meet up with friends or family.
