Great bbq and even better on the price! Can’t beat a two meat plate w ribs and brisket plus two sides for under $25. I’m a big fan of the onion rings.

Our family orders a Family Meal (4) from Dickeys at least once a month, but decided to go off course and try the drive-thru BBQ from our beloved HEB while waiting for our grocery pickup to be ready. We ordered the family meal. It is 10 less than Dickey's. The only choice for the brisket was either fatty or lean and the other 1lb was Turkey. Disappointed as we love ordering a lb of chopped and a lb of sliced briskit from Dickeys. No biggie the sliced was moist and flavorful and even the turkey was nice but just SUPER SALTY. My kids had to cut off the edges due to the saltiness. The sides were mixed. The greens were AMAZING!!!! The mac/cheese was kid perfection, but the beans were a runny bean soup. Great seasoning, but if you could strain the beans out of their watery abode, you might get a 1/3 cup of beans w/ a large side order. The bread was TWO pieces of skinny white bread as the bread. We really could have used a loaf to sop up all the runny bean juice. Plenty of pickle and onion slices. Also got a free gallon of tea and TWO tiny lil prepackaged pods of sauce. Maybe 2 ozs. for 2 lbs of meat. argh. By the time we got home, GREASE was pooling in the bottom of the med plastic bag evreything had been stuffed in. And the paper wrapped packages of meat where WET and greasy. 2 sets of plastic wear, 3 clean wipes and 4 small napkins. While the greens were amazing and the beans have potential when drained, I won't go back. I was honestly shocked. Stick with Dickeys across the street.

My very very first time here at this restaurant I saw on the menu that they serve brisket nachos I asked the cashier Karen are they any good and she said that they are awesome she really really sold me on the but I was very very dissatisfied with the product I requested extra cheese and there's hardly any cheese on them the brisket is tough and salty the cheese is waxy the little bit that I received and way too many jalapenos on top I guess that's the cover up I probably won't be coming back here again this was a very disappointing experience the food was not very good at all

Experience tonight was bad Brisket was dry and tasteless They did not have the two vegetables we wantedI understand running low on meat but missing sides is a sin One substitute veggie we chose was cornbread. Very Very dry. Inedible

The fatty brisket is usually very juicy, tasty and hot. But 25% of the time or so the fatty brisket isn't hot at all... seems it sits out too long sometimes and cools off by the time it gets sliced and served. I love it nonetheless, and their briset beans and collard greens cooked in pork fat are both top notch sides. I even like their potato salad, which is very rare for me. The smoked chicken, and the strawberry cobbler, are both hits when they are in season.

Manager was on top of things having to handle/help with Marcus's duties due to his extreme weight preventing him to walk and move at a normal pace. His size is an obvious safety hazard in the work area. Food is great but Marcus's inability to provide and execute simple tasks is not good for service.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at True Texas BBQ in Plano!
I don’t typically go for BBQ, but Wolf completely changed my mind. His friendly service and top-notch recommendation made all the difference. I went with the pulled pork, and WOW—it was juicy, flavorful, and an absolute chef’s kiss! Wolf took the time to explain the menu and made me feel totally welcome. You can tell he cares about the customer experience. I’ll definitely be back (and bringing friends next time)!
Highly recommend giving this place a try—even if BBQ isn’t usually your thing!

True Texas BBQ brings the HEB standard to Texas barbecue. The food is always delicious and the service is always great. I always get my food in a timely manner and I love the baked potatoes! This restaurant is run well and it shows in the food. Great job to everyone at this location!
Food was good and delivered quickly. However the sauce is terrible and gummy. They need to go back to the old dispenser method. Pre packaged sauce is not what one expects in a real Texas Bbq joint.

Overpriced!! I get a 3 meat plate for $28 and I get two meats ( a corner of brisket and two small slices 9f turkey) that equal one meat and missing my entire third piece of meat which i paid extra for. FOLKS NOT WORTH THE TRIP. Update.. the two pieces of meat were mostly fat and I ordered lean.. Really People.
