I love this quaint eatery. The staff is super attentive and nice, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is cozy. The food is delicious. I have repeatedly gotten the spicy pork but have sampled the sushi, curry, etc. Highly recommend 👌
Got the lion king roll, seared salmon nigiri, eel nigiri, Japanese curry, and carbonara udon. Seared salmon nigiri and lion king roll was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend those two.

I’m often hungry after eating sushi, but not at this place. Great portion, they don’t skimp, love the fish to rice ration for their rolls. Atmosphere is nothing fancy, but always clean and I’m ok with that. Great service too.

We were genuinely surprised by the quality and the quantity of rolls served here at Umi Umi. Having had sushi and rolls from tons of places around DFW, I can say that this place is indeed special. We had the Payday and the Spicy Crunch Salmon rolls. Both of them were delightful, but we especially liked the Spicy Crunch Salmon. The 'salad' style topping was really flavourful and very unique. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a dish on the house, which unfortunately I don't know the name of. That too tasted fantastic although I couldn't find it in their menu. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. 💯 Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was an amazing discovery! Loved the atmosphere and all the foods we ordered. We ordered vegetable tempura, donkotsu udon, monkey brain sushi, butterfly scallops, and carbonara udon! They also gave us complementary sushi the small ones here. They are called chop chop. These were great too! I definitely recommend them and will visit again soon!
Went on Thursday night and it was pretty quiet. Not too many other patrons. We orders 2 sushi rolls and the steamed dumplings, as well as 2 hot teas. The first small hiccup was that my husband asked specifically for 2 hot teas and the waitress brought us one. This would normally not be a big deal on its own but it went to overall experience. When we asked for a second tea, she brought it over quickly and within the first sip I noticed a potent taste of rust. I pulled the basket out of the teacup and it was entirely rusted. Not just dark in color but the rust was orange and noticeable. Super gross. The sushi was actually pretty good but the dumplings were not very good. The wrapper was falling apart and the lettuce that they were served on, caused the plate to be a watery mess. Overall the service was just adequate and I don’t think the food was good enough to make up for the fairly subpar experience. I don’t think we’ll be back.

Very delicious! The service was courteous and kind. The food was excellent, presented hot and fresh. I chose the lunch special of deep dish California roll and tempura roll. The lunch deal includes the rolls of your choice, miso soup, and a salad. There were many options, and it was exciting to choose! The portion sizes are very filling as well. I got a roll on the house as well, very sweet!
