This is one of our two absolute fav brewing companies to go to in the metroplex after a long hard days work, kid friendly, great food, perfect for the entire crew or family!

We had a graduation celebration for my son in law here. The atmosphere was great and the staff were super friendly. Our waitress, Grace, was awesome. We had a party of 12 and she was very attentive to us all. She kept our drinks full, table cleared and checked on us often. She had other tables as well and I observed she gave everyone the same level of personal attention. She’s a keeper, and all the staff that we interacted with were very professional and courteous. Cudos to management at this McKinney location for putting together a great team. That’s how you run a business! 💕

Listen—if you’re on the hunt for chill vibes, great beer, and carbs that speak to your soul, Union Bear is where it’s at. We kicked things off with a flight of beers (because picking just one is for amateurs), and every single pour hit the spot. Whether you’re into crisp and clean or dark and dreamy, their lineup’s got your back. And then came the pretzels. OH, THE PRETZELS. Soft, warm, salty goodness paired with dips so delicious I considered ordering a second round just to “double-check” the flavor accuracy. For science, of course. Our server? Absolute legend. Friendly, on point, and totally in sync with what we needed before we even had to ask. You can tell the staff cares and actually likes being there—which makes the whole experience even better. Union Bear, you nailed it. Beers were cold, food was hot, and the service was top-tier. We’ll be back—and next time, we’re bringing friends.

Went on a busyThursday night, but we're seated right away. Our server was very nice and so efficient for how many people were there. Had a good vegetarian burger and plenty of drink options. Glad we stopped in on our trip.

We’ve been to this place at least 7 times. The food and drinks are pretty good (for the most part) but my goodness the wait can be lengthy on the weekends. We have always joined the waitlist and the last 2 times we have waited at least 30-40 minutes past the quoted time. I made a reservation this time and requested a booth or a flat table, no high top and we still waited almost 30 minutes past our reservation. Like what is the point of offering reservations? 😅 Then the host finally asked us what our name was since she saw us standing around for a while and we finally got seated in a big booth only to see that there were 3 other big booths open that whole time! It’s like they were waiting for a small tiny booth to open up. I understand maybe wanting to wait for more people in a big booth but come on, time is money and they should prioritize people with reservations and start seating people regardless. Plus we always spend at least $150+ here for just 2 people. Very very disappointed in that tonight.

I had the burger and it was super dry (I’m a huge burger fanatic and wasn’t impressed). The Mac and cheese, queso and Cesar salad with salmon are what I typically order and will stick to that. The Honey Bear and Old Fashioned are amazing drinks and the service has always been great/consistent so no complaints there.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon on the search for a good meal. I sat down at the bar and not once was I greeted by the three bartenders behind the bar. I ended up drinking the Mexican lager on tap which turned out to be a great beer. For lunch I had the brunch all American meal, the meal itself was underwhelming for its $18 dollar price, the sausage was just store bought and undercooked, potatoes were well seasoned and tasteful. The overall service could use work, bartenders never checked in to see if I needed anything else to make my visit more pleasant, I was always having to flag someone down. Overall this location could use better training when it comes to service, the drinks are never a miss, & the food could use some more detail and pride to its overall taste and appearance.

I went in here last week because we are new to Denton, had 2 different beers. The food was pretty good. Had the shrimp tacos and fish & chips. For the beers, we had their bock and blonde. They both were not that great, we will stick with our regular beers. Probably not going to come back

Wanted to love it but unfortunately our waitress was extremely rude and gave horrible service. Will not be back.

I ordered the chicken sandwich and was shocked at the meat, having ate at the Denton location who serves a big juicy crispy chicken patty with all the fixings, to then coming here thinking I was getting the same thing only for it to be a flat patty w/ no crisp had me in utter shock 😂 . The fries were good but yall need to call Denton and see where they get their meat from and order the same meat and make it like they make it.

Great happy hour. $4 draft beers, hard to beat. West coast IPA was very tasty. The pretzel bites were exactly what I wanted them to be. Bartender Logan was very pleasant and personable.

The atmosphere was nice and you're able to watch the games but the only minus is they had the dividers open for the customers seated outside and us inside had to suffer the swarm of flies throughout our whole meal. We just got to-go boxes because we were tired of fanning. The queso had a really good flavor but could be a bit thicker. It was a little runny. The Freaky Tiki was very good and not overly sweet but nicely balanced. The Woodsman flatbread was pretty good. It originally comes without meat.
