Erin was our AMAZING server! The restaurant was slower than usual with bad weather coming...Erin really pampered us. We lucked out and arrived before happy hour ended and were able to leisurely enjoy good wine and Old Fashioneds at great prices. Her recommendations were spot on...the salmon was delicious. We even ordered potato soup to take home with us. 😋 We found out that she is a college student studying marketing. Whiskey Cake, you got a great marketer when you hired Erin! She was both friendly and professional, and Erin made our experience above and beyond! We'll be back soon. And we'll ask for Erin. 😁

From the first bite, it was clear this wasn’t just a good meal. It was a standout dining experience. Knowing that everything is made from scratch, down to the ketchup, makes it even more impressive. The fish and chips were perfectly crisp without being heavy, the rotisserie chicken was juicy and deeply seasoned, and the fried chicken sandwich was hands down the best I’ve ever had.
The whiskey cocktail was balanced, smooth, and dangerous in the best way. Absolute perfection. And then came dessert. The whiskey cake was so good I see why they literally named the restaurant after it. It deserves that honor.
What truly elevated the night was the hospitality. The chef and manager personally came out to greet us, which says everything about the pride they take in their craft. Our server, Erin, was exceptional. Warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the evening better.
This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can still feel special. We will go out of our way to come back whenever we are in Texas again and we will be bringing everyone with us. If you are even considering it, stop thinking and go.

Our first visit was fabulous! Delicious food and attentive and friendly service by Kayla! My husband enjoyed the NY Strip with crispy Potatoes and I had the delicious shrimp rigatoni with a smoked old fashioned! And we’re so glad we ordered the Whiskey Cake even though we only had a few bites before having to pack it up with the rest of our leftovers for another delicious meal the following day! We’ll definitely return and bring family and friends with us!

First time checking this place out. My biggest complaint is that it does not matter if the patio is covered in part of it or has heaters, it is COLD OUTSIDE. We were all still cold. If you do not want to eat in your jacket or go outside or walk up the ramp to the bathroom in the cold elements avoid the patio. They had us go outside to get into the patio initially that should of been a sign right there. But they said it was covered and heated so I was hopefully. But I was right under a heater and still cold. My head was the only thing warm. I suggest eliminating patio dining during the winter. Clearly heaters are not cutting it if everyone is wearing a jacket outside. It's still very cold which made the experience less enjoyable.
We had a good size party and one waiter. A few small order mistakes were made with another person and myself at least. Maybe two waiters if they cannot handle the volume of parties at once. Food was adequate. Got the rotisserie chicken and smashed potatoes. Chicken could have been moist on the outside of it, seemed dry or maybe it needed some sauce on top. It was tender inside. I also ordered a side salad, good but they gave me the wrong dressing which was already poured on it. So a little bothered about eating what I didn't fully order or ask for.
I only gave them 5 stars because it was as much as they allowed. We ate brunch… ordered almost all of the starters. The candied bacon, cinnamon roll, deviled eggs, and the biscuits and gravy, for a table of 9 Texans, It was perfect. Let me tell you do your self a favor and order all of these. We then went in on the meal and I got the Ruben, no regrets. The best thing on the menu has to be the cheese grits! Sorry no photos. We ate too fast.

It was quite busy last night so I highly recommend you make a reservation. Service and food and excellent, do not sit at the bar if you want to be able to talk with the people in your party. That is the only negative about this place is the noise level.
