Zenna Thai & Japanese Restaurant

Service was great. The reason I gave a two star is for the following:

1. I ordered a glass of water and when I drink the water, I knew immediately that something was wrong with it. The water tasted like there is something in it. I asked if they get their water from a filter and the waiter said yes. I told the waiter that the water tasted like the filter hasn’t been changed in a while. As a result I only took a few sips of water.

2. For the entrée I ordered a combination yellow curry and an appetizer of marinated squid. The entrée came out before the appetizer. The curry was OK. The potatoes and the curry needed to be cooked longer as they had a bit of hardness to them. The appetizer was very good and probably the best dish out of everything I ordered.

3. Lastly, I ordered a spicy tuna roll and Philadelphia roll. Both roles tasted off. Neither roll was fresh. When I put the Philadelphia roll in my mouth, some thing about the salmon did not taste right. When I took the salmon out of the roll I touched it and it was not cold and you could barely call it chilled. The spicy tuna roll was also not good. They sprinkled some sort of red powder on top which adds to the distastefulness of the dish.

If this restaurant focused more on the taste and freshness of the food, they would be doing better in my opinion.

Three strikes, you're out! I had no reason to try Zenna three times, but I'm a fair person and it's close by. The first two visits were not that good. Third time was still unappetizing..There are countless authentic Thai & Japanese restaurants to choose from. I will not lower my standards to a seedy, unappealing, inauthentic, over priced place like Zenna. The quality of the food is appalling. The service is awful. This is more of a late night, last ditch restaurant that's just open late. Alot of heavy drinkers here. We will not be back. Owner: Can you please ask your male kitchen staff to stop blowing snot/phlegm out of their nose with their finger onto the grass, etc .. right out back of your kitchen by your bench. It's beyond disgusting. And I bet those men are not even washing their hands when they return to the kitchen to prep and cook. Explain to them that y'all do have bathroom tissue that they can use. Unbelievably nasty. Many people have seen this regularly.

I love their happy hour! However, I'm over them... it has gone up, and the food is not as good as it used to be. The spring rolls tasted funny like I could taste the grease they cooked it in. Might need changing out. The goyzas were good, the wings, ehhh, not so much they looked weird pale like after they were cooked with teriyaki sauce on them. Idk.. I've had my share of zennas it's been real.. ?that was my last visit..✌?

Food service evth was great. They have an off-the-menu sushi called “Drama”. A must try. Their curries (green/red/yellow) and fried rice are also stars of this place. A must try if you’re craving Thai food.

I would like to share my first time experience ordering from this restaurant . I had the chicken Thai fried rice overall 1/5 .. the quality of the chicken was off . The spicy level was ok . I also ordered the tulip dumplings … they were dry and the texture was crumbly . Not a big fan . I would not be returning to try additional dishes from the establishment .i can’t speak for the service and atmosphere as i ordered this order online .

They're really delicious and open until really late, which is fantastic and a rarity these days. The service is really great and the food is not only super tasty but they have it ready right away

Definitely a great local restaurant with international experiences.

They have great cold tapas selections, I would suggest the imperial rolls with extra shrimp.

For sushi entrée, shrimp tempura

1 Noodle entree - pad Thai seafood with level 4 spicy

2 Noodle entree - udon no eggs

Food is good have never had an issue with it.. service on the other hand is terrible if you are dining in. My husband and I went last night for dinner and waited about 8 minutes to be greeted by 1 of the 5 servers standing around staring at us .. every time we have gone the service is not good. Meal time last like hour and half because of very slow service and not checking back in on the tables.

I came here with my fiance about a week or so ago now. Our server was amazing! However, I had mixed feelings about the food. The spicy basil fried rice was fresh and tasty, but the pad thai tasted frozen at best. The noodles were chewy and they were way too sweet for my liking. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience until now so definitely come check them out, I just wouldn’t get the pad thai!
