I used to go to this restaurant pretty regularly when I visited Port A. Went to the island for a long New Years Weekend last week, and the lot at Beach and Station St where the restaurant was located is now a cleared lot. Maybe they will replace the old structure!
We arrived an hour before they opened but they did allow us to wait at a table outside and served us drinks. There was a man sitting at the entry way that was hateful and very rude. He ended up coming and sitting outside to drink his beer, smoke his cigarettes, cough up a lung and spit on the deck while literally glaring at everyone. There were 5 in our party and the 5th guest did not receive her food until after we all finished ours. She ended up taking it to go. She got blackened Alfredo and said it was good. I got stuffed crab cakes that tasted store bought. My husband got fried flounder which was good but a little greasy. My mom got stuffed flounder that she said tasted like it was stuffed with stove top dressing. My father in law got the seafood platter that he said was ok. We did get gumbo and it was good but not a lot of meat in it. The food is not the worst but certainly not worth the price or anything to talk about. The drunk man made me very uncomfortable.
Blown away how some places stay open with the worst waitresses I've probably ever seen. Have another bump of crank and atleast act like your an adult. We walked before wasting any more time with these women.
Been here many times- while the decor is a bit "rustic", the food has always been good. Service has never let me down as well. Probably the hardest working wait staff in Port A. Top of my list for Port A.
Smallish restaurant with around 10 tables inside plus a few outside. We had blackened shrimp fettuccine and it was delicious. Same with the Key Lime pie. Very nice wine too. Very popular and you’ll usually have a short wait. Be aware this is a “Cash Only” restaurant. They're short staffed but the waitress did a superb job under the circumstances.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! We drove all around port Aransas looking for a place to dine in and everyone turned us down. We called beach & station and the girl instantly said “come in, we’re ready to serve you”The service was great and the food… OMG, let me tell you the food was phenomenal! Everything tasted fresh, full of flavor, big portion plates & you could definitely taste the love. Can’t wait for our next visit back to port Aransas.
Read the reviews and thought this might be a good little spot. Yuck!! Ahi was well done...like leather...Blackened Red Fish was way over cooked... and served with wrong sauce.Green beans were out of a can. When you walk in they tell you that they only accept cash...and offer to let you use their "onsite" ATM machine.I am sure this is to prevent you from disputing your credit card charges due to horrible food. Clearly they have figured out how to play the game!We explained our dissatisfaction and they didn't offer anything....just brought us a bill for an over priced meal and told us "Have a good night "Our check was $172 00This place is absolutely horrible!
After going 0 for 2 at places we stumbled across this little gem. Service staff is fantastic, and the food is great, I had the flounder and shrimp with red beans& rice and French fries, my wife had chicken alfredo, and my son had crab stuffed shrimp. All were amazing!!!!
I had been to Beach and Station in the past I thought the food was pretty good for Port A. However, I will never eat there again. I had called their number to simply inquire about reservations. Fine, they don't take them. I had 2 people be completely rude and belligerent. One hung up on me because I asked about reservations and the response was wait like everyone else. The 2nd lady was repeating over and over to have a nice day like a robot. I'm so surprised by the bad manners being that this is Texas.
Long wait excellent food. Place is literally a hole in the wall and maybe seats 30 people which is one reason I love it. The food and service were excellent once we were seated. Surf and turf and Gils special were perfect.

It had been about 5 years since we've been here. And we are on the island most weekends. Friends suggested we go there, and now I'm ticked off. The food was just plain outstanding. Why had this place fallen off of our radar? Everyone had a great meal, and the oysters were nice and fresh too.
This place was the absolute worst...walked out of there 1.5 hrs after waiting because I believe one of the owners told my 11 year old daughter that he was a demon and not to tell us what he said. After he told her that he kept trying to talk to her and just constantly looking at her. It was so bad we had to walk out of there with her crying and upset. I called them as soon as I got her out of that situation and the response I got from the restaurant is I need to tell her that she will be fine and that she just needs to get over it. Please do not give your money to this restaurant.
My 11 year old daughter was just told by the drunken owner he was a demon and in order to keep the mosquitos away she needed to become the same. After he spoke with her on his "reserved" seat by the main entrance, she was shaking in fear. She was so afraid that she didn't speak to me or her mother. After my wife took her inside, he continued to follow her, haunting her. Somehow she thinks she did something wrong. She is terrified. After making a formal complaint, we were told to tell her that there are people like this in the world and she needs to "get over it". Please share this to keep this from happening to others.
Our group of six enjoyed all our entrées, from perfectly cooked steaks, great burgers, to the amazing grilled red snapper! Then the delicious desserts...decadent Belgian chocolate mousse cake and creamy key lime pie! We will definitely come back to this place when we are in Port Aransas!
So I will warn you, don't go without an empty tummy. You will regret not having enough room for the delicious food ?! It's the best crab legs I've had in YEARS, hubby had the crab stuffed shrimp, and his best friend had the Station Burger. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!It does take a little bit of time to get the food but the amount of love put into this place and their food is pristine and genuine!!! The family atmosphere is amazing and worth every minute of the wait!!!!
