“If you haven’t been here, what are you waiting for. The food was phenomenal. Seriously, some of the best food I have eaten in a while. Service was amazing. We had two lovely ladies waiting in our table and we lacked for nothing. The wine recommendation was on point and the dessert was exceptional. This will be our go to spot when in Port A.”
“Holy cow best breakfast burrito I've eaten on the island, definitely get chorizo as your meat choice. Cooked perfectly with crunchy hashbrowns and toasted with cojita cheese on the outside to give it that perfect texture. Husband got the super bowl and said it was fabulous too...definitely try Coaches hot sauce, you'll love it!!”
“Tortuga's is one of the few restaurants in Port Aransas that takes reservations. This was beneficial to us as we were traveling with an adult with dementia who had a hard time waiting and adjusting to a new environment. I had to call the restaurant to let them know we were running 5 minutes late and the hostess was friendly and accommodating. Our waitress was top-notch and had a great personality. The food was really good and the manager checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. We went for brunch and I would highly recommend Tortugas.”
“I've eaten here a half dozen times and each time deserves 5 stars. Each of the times except once there was a different person serving behind the bar and taking food orders. In a day when finding good help in the restaurant is a rare thing, it's not so rare here. Everyone working here was a joy to deal with, and my oversized tips reflected it. On another note, I'm from South Dakota, and chislic is a big thing there. I ordered the steak bites, thinking that's what they call it here. To my surprise, it was not chislic. Chislic is a cheap cut of beef cut into small bite size pieces then deep fried....pretty good stuff. BUT, this was truly "steak" bites. It was cut up steaks that were tender and juicy and seasoned to perfection. As good as any $40 steak at a premium restaurant. I'll be back. Thanks for the great service, pricing and food.”
“This place NEVER disappoints!! I'm working my way down the menu. Today, I had the biscuits and gravy.... chorizo gravy! AMAZING! I highly recommend it if you're anywhere near Port Aransas!”
“This "unique" eatery is now my favorite place to eat in Port-A. Positive reviews is what made me decide to go there. I was not disappointed! Salad was very fresh and plentiful. All food coming out of kitchen looked nicely presented. Give them a try, you will want to go back!”
“The food was excellent. However, the place can get a bit busy around dinner time. You also need to have cash ready since this restaurant currently does not take credits cards. Otherwise, my experience of eating at La Playa has been fine.”
“What an awesome dive bar! Absolutely delicious Gaff pizza! Very reasonably priced drinks; including $2.50 beers. The live music on Friday was phenomenal. They hold events on some Saturdays, and we had a great time at the belt sander races!”
“I stayed at Tarpon Inn for 2 nights this spring during SandFest, and I was traveling solo. I really loved the property and my room. So many beautiful historic details remain, but my room had just the right amount of modern touches. If you're looking for a completely modern room layout, this might not be what you're looking for, but I loved it. My favorite part of the property was the porch and courtyard area out back. I sat out there with a magazine both nights, it was so delightful and relaxing. There was live music as well, I also loved that. Parking was easy, there are spaces on either side of the hotel. Plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Ferry is a short drive away.”
“Excellent Thanksgiving meal, everything is freaah and homemade! We are here on vacation from MN visiting my fiancés grandma, 100% recommend. I have never felt so welcome and comfortable at an establishment, everyone is very friendly. For those who can... bring a donation!”
“I came here alone because I wanted Crab legs. The server was very kind but I didn’t get his name. His hair was medium length and looked curly but was pulled back. The crab seemed like it was missing a lot of meat, must be the season? I’m not sure. The corn and potatoes are great. I went a little later at night so it wasn’t very busy.”
“Our first visit to Dylan’s was last January when we were visiting Port Aransas for the first time. Fast-forward a year later and we are back to one of our favorite spots we have been to and definitely My ❤️ man’s favorite pizza. Second time around was just as good as the first. The crust on this pizza is to die for and also the flavor of the sauce and toppings is so fresh and delicious. Every staff member was happy and cheerful and seem to be enjoying their job which we find is rare these days so it made the experience even more enjoyable. We will be back again for sure, once before we leave this visit and then again next year when we return.”
“Wonderful, service-hearted staff from the hotel to the restaurant. Jen at the front desk gave us a tour without hesitation so we could see more of the rooms. Really recommend the FDR suite for 2+ day stays. Great food! Beautiful rooms, and in great shape for the building’s age and for being in a beach town. You can tell the management and staff really care about the maintenance of everything.Food & drinks: Roosevelt’s was so good, and the photos on Google don’t do it justice. Wish I’d remembered to take photos, but it’s more of a cozy, rustic fine dining restaurant than as casual as it appeared to us on the photos. But the bar, 1886 next door, offers a limited version of Roosevelt’s menu, a more casual atmosphere and great drinks.”
“Throughly enjoyed having dinner at Fins! We were visiting PA for 3 nights and ate at Fins every night. Why mess with a good thing? Service, food, deck atmosphere and location were wonderful. Will be back!”
“Good pizza and salad bar offerings. The broccoli cheese soup was a little bland but still decent. The arcade was a little chaotic and we weren't there during the busy season at Port A.”
