The Food Hut is a tiny mom and pop location next to Texas Red's Riviera, with picnic tables outside or the option to eat in the bar. It is literally a hut with a cutsy little seating area. Customers say it is a hidden gem and the best bbq in town. The juiciest most flavorful brisket is a highlight, with the brisket sandwich called incredible, excellent, and not much more than a burger at a fast food place. They don’t skimp on the meat. Other menu items include brisket Mac and cheese, rice and beans, brisket quesadilla, pulled pork, tacos, and brisket baked potato. They also do Chinese food 1 weekend a month. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Get there early, as the hut is open 11-5 only Thursday through Saturday, and they can run low on Brisket by 1pm.
